About

Graham Durant-Law playing at the RAAMC 2003 Centenary DinnerThank you for visiting Durant-Law Bagpiping. Australia has a Scottish and Irish connection, dating back to the first settlement by Europeans in 1788. This cultural heritage remains strong, and for many is evoked by the stirring sounds of the Great Highland Bagpipe, or Piob Mor, or more simply the pipes. It is said that to learn the pipes requires an apprenticeship of seven years. If that is the case then I have well and truly served that apprentice, having played for almost 40 years in Australia and abroad at the highest levels.

I am available to provide professional playing services in the Canberra Region of the highest quality at:

  • military commemorations;
  • uniformed services functions, such as dining-in-nights;
  • engagements and weddings;
  • funerals and memorials;
  • private and corporate parties; and
  • backing for music group recordings.

I also teach complete beginners through to intermediate standard, from about age 10 to 70.

Please contact me if you would like more details or a quote. I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards, Graham
