Hit him, get out of the way of his attacks, hit him more, and repeat

the best character for bosses is charizard just spam forward b (rock smash)and ull win pretty much but there are some other things

1. YOU MUST NO WAT HE DOES BEFOR HIS ATTACKS AND BE READY TO EITHER DODGE ROLL(NOT RECCOMENDED!),SIDE STEP (RECOMMENDED),AIR DOGE(HIGHLY RECOMENDED), OR SHEILD (SOME WAT RECCOMENDED)

2. OK secondly u must have proper di (directional influence) if u get hit by some of the more powerful attacks u might not make it BUT STILL TRY.THE SECOND U ARE HIT OFF THE STAGE POINT UR ANALOGE STICK TWORD THE STAGE.

3. RINSE AND REPEAT ;D

Who's Tabo?

Just hit him and avoid his moves. To avoid the one where he shoots 3 red rings at you, just sheild, then press Down (while still sheilding) when each is about to hit you. You'll completely dodge each with little end lag and no start lag.

I'll try to give you a warning for each attack: If he floats off the stage and up a little then pulls out a sword, he's gonna sweep across the stage at an upside-down arc shape with his sword in front of him. Just Jump.

If he floats off the stage but still on ground level and brings his hand back, he's gonna throw a saw blade type thing at you. It'll sweep the bottom of the stage, pause for a second (literally if on intense), then sweep back into his hand. Just short hop both.

He floats off the stage, then as far as I can remember, just turns into a kind of "{ }" shaped thing with golden sparkles around it, then sweeps acroos the stage in an upside-down arc like the sword attack. Only in this one, the lowest point of the arc is the height of wherever you are when he starts decending. Just didge by jumping after he starts moving, air dodge, dodge roll, whatever. If it hits, he'll teleport to the air above the center of the stage and slam you down.

This one's the easiest to dodge. He floats off the stage, and BRINGS OUT A FRIGGIN CANNON THAT'S BIGGER THAN BOWSER. IF YOU GET HIT BY THIS YOU SUCK. It chardes up for like an hour (well, 3 seconds but it's more than enough time), fires, lingeres for about 2 seconds, then just goes away. Just double jump, maybe up-B if you need to.

He floats off the stage, then starts to grow bigger. At this point, run over to the ledge of the stage on the side he was on. His head comes back, and he starts FIRIN HIS LAZAR!... sorry. Well really, he fires a laser from each eye, and they each sweep across the stage in opposite directions twice, then he just leaves and comes back in normal size. While he's LAZARIN, you should be jumpin off the stage and attcaking him, grabbing the ledge when you need to, then repeating.

He teleports to you, and just floats there. Run away. He strats glowing pink and little spheres start circling him. Just wait, hit him with a ranged attack if you can, just watch out, the expand a little ways.

He telports a little above the stage, and brings his hand back. He'll start shooting hundreds of tiny green projectiles from his hand, sweeping them up and down in front of him. Just make sure you're behind him. At the end, he'll shoot a very powerful ball of energy at about a 45 degree angle to the ground in front of him.

I saved this for last because I HATE IT SO ****IN MUCH!!!!!! On intense, it's almost an instant hit, it pisses the HELL out of me. On lower difficulties, he floats off the stage, although still on ground level, pulls his hand back (only difference of this one from the saw blade on is that in this one, you can see a glowing golden rope in his hand) If it hits, he whips you behind his head and SLAMS you on the ground HARD. To dodge, I personally try to air dodge, although you may dodge roll or sidestep (sheild+Down).

Finally, I just wanna say, alwyas take advantage of the time he spends in one spot before and after attacks, and DO NOT chase him when he telports all over the stage, and make sure you're not near him when he's about to start teleporting. He will literally explode while teleporting, damaging you and being extremely annoying. I've literally gotten killed by it, just thought I'd warn you.

So anyway, it's extremely lengthy, but I hope it helps.

sorry, in the last paragraph I meant may explode while teleporting. And to tell when he'll start teleporting, he just kinda twitches a little. It's a small movement, but it's pretty easy to see.

Ok sorry, forgot a few. (it's late alright?)

He floats off to one side at your height in a kind of tailess-fish-spearhead-type-thing, and just flies across the stage. Just jump/land, depending on the height of the attack, or use a dodge of your choice.

He teleports right next to you. At this point, run away, preferably behind him. He'll just start slashing where you are (or hopefully were). Hit him with whatever you can.

I also hate this attack. He just teleports to some random place and starts ending exploding clones in random directions. Just try to avoid, I personally fall off the stage and grab the edge, fall a little then jump up repeatedly until it's over. You can just keep air-dodging if you want.

Just Dodge often each one of his attacks have a 2-5 second lag, thats your opening, most of his moves have some sort of give away the only move that i'm going to say avoid at all costs is the Off-Waves.

Kill him.

That's how I did it. ;)

Okay seriously, I think one of the best way to kill is

A. Get someone who can deal alot of serious damage (Ike, DeDeDe, etc)

B. Get someone who can send a barrage of damage (Yoshi, Meta Knight) and/or

C. Get someone who is rather quick, has excellent recovery (doesn't need to be quick), and has more opportunity to deal damage (Sonic, Snake, etc).

I personally like to use PT (mainly Squirtle and Ivysaur), Lucario, Yoshi, Ike, Sonic and Mario. (in no specific order)

And of course you need to carefully observe his attacks (which may involve dying in order to fully understand the attacks) and time them and learn the right time to dodge, but whenever you see the opportunity (even when his nose is bigger than Bowser), use that chance to get him.

Also if you want a trophy of him, might I suggest doing on Very Hard/Intense and wait for a trophy stand.

I suggest using charaters like Metaknight and other strong characters Ex:any charater with projectiles and air attacks. But try to dodge his Dragon Attack and his giant attack, so have fun!

Simply use Charizards rock smash

Just be Ness or Lucas Use youre up b attack then dodge his attacks its easy

It's true that Tabuu can be a little difficult at times but the hardest attack to avoid is the one that almost always kills you no matter what your percentage. There is a way to avoid it though, it just takes a little timing. You'll notice when he goes into the background to do this attack there will be shock waves. Those are what hits you. Just hold down the block button and push down ant the right time and you will avoid the shock waves completely. I think the number of waves varies depending on difficulty level.

Are you just trying to Beat Taboo or are you talking about a Trophy team?

Memorise his attacks first, this will give you some idea of when he stops. Tabuu flies right? right! so use a character with powerful air moves like peach, or characters that can shoot in the air.

Also tabuu can launch you far! recovery is important. ROB may come in useful as he has powerful normal attacks and a very good recovery.

As for other characters, use all of the characters you can use well, no point in using a character you cant use Lastly, dont give up!

Like everyone else is saying, just learn to avoid his attacks. A good person to use is Charizard's B >(Rock Smash) it does tons of damage, and when it gets down to the "butterly of death" use your down B to return to your pokeball BEFORE the first ring hits you, otherwise you will die by the third.

MetaKnight is good for fighting Tabuu. He has great aerial attacks, Which you'll need alot against Tabuu.

All you have to do is play him the first time and memorize his attacks/moves. Once you do you are good to go. It doesn't matter how long it takes to kill hm jusy slowly bring his health down and your good. Here are his attacks and how to dodge them:

UltraWave(red waves): Sidestep them at the right time.

Spinning boomarang: Just jump twice while its coming at you and back.

Laser eyes: Just stay in the air and don't touch the lasers on the ground.

Whip: You have to move around alot and avoid staying in one place until he finishes his move.

Explosion(When bodies come out and when lightning comes outof his body): Just stay far away from him and use long range attacks.

Ultrabeam: Jump when his attack is about to be launched and use the recovery move to stay longer in the air.

Grab: Jump away from the middle and let the grabber sweep by.

Blade slash(turns to fish and comes across the screen) Jump and side dodge or if he's doing it on the ground sidestep.

That should be all the moves enjoy fighting him.
