* Radio 1 DJs Annie Mac, Fabio and Grooverider and club legend Goldie will be among the top line talent flocking to Birmingham for the National Drum & Bass awards.

The event will be held on February 28 at the Custard Factory and will be broadcast live on Radio 1 and its sister station 1Extra. Among the line-up for the night will be event promoter and Birmingham DJ Magika, who says he thinks it will be one of the biggest nights of the year.

“It’s going to be massive,” he says. “We held it at the Q-Club last year and it was a huge event, and this year it’s going to be even bigger.

“We’ve got some of the top names from the club scene performing this year.

“We’ve had national coverage and we’ve even been on Radio 1 promoting it with Fabio and Grooverider which has been fantastic.

Other headline acts who will be playing the event include Andy Cm, Friction MC, Plan B and Kano, Krissy Kriss and a host of other top names from the club scene.

This week is also your last chance to vote for the acts, including some of Birmingham’s own home-grown talent, to win in the 25 categories available.

Among the talent from the West Midlands are top rated national acts Hazard and Bassman.

“We want everyone to get out there and show their support for the acts and really get behind this. It’s great that a show like this can come to Birmingham, it’s a real victory for the city,” adds Magika.
