This declares a variable for the eastenders site, characters section and interviews page. Ensure the value attribute of the variable is empty. Add this code into the section labelled SET VARIABLES. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Add your new menu item to the HTML. If the condition has been met this will be a class telling the CSS that this item is the current page, if not it will be empty. EastEnders scoops Best Soap and Continuing Drama award.

The Royal Television Society (RTS) Programme Awards presented EastEnders with the Soap and Continuing Drama award. The other nominees in this category were The Bill and Coronation Street.

There were episodes submitted of 'Whitney week' for the panel to judge. They described them as a “culmination of a particularly challenging and controversial storyline which the production team, writers and cast pulled off triumphantly. British soap at its best.”

Diederick Santer, Executive Producer said of winning: "It's a highly prestigious industry award, so it's a terrific achievement. Well done everyone and thank you."

Other winners included; MI High, The Curse of Steptoe, Outnumbered and Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.
