1 Introduction

1.1 This website is owned, managed and operated by Carnival plc.   Ocean Village is a trading name of Carnival plc.  Any personal information provided to Ocean Village is controlled by Carnival plc.

1.2 This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and store personal information about you and your use of this website.

2 What information do we collect and how do we use it?

2.1 We will not collect any information about individuals, except where it is specifically and knowingly provided, for example, if you book a cruise, request brochures or other information from us or enter competitions or register for promotions.  We may also invite you to complete surveys or provide us with feedback.  All this data is referred to in this policy as 'personal information'.

2.2 We collect personal information such as name, address, telephone number and email address.  If you book a cruise we will also collect your passport and credit or debit card details.  This allows us to process and fulfil your booking or other requests.

2.3 If you provide us with the personal information of any third parties, for example any other passengers included in a booking for a cruise, you must have the authority of those third parties to provide their personal information to us for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

2.4 If you book a cruise the personal information you provide to us will be used for the purposes set out in the Data Protection section of our Booking Conditions.

2.5 The personal information you provide to us or which we obtain through your dealings with us may also be used to review, develop and improve the cruises and other services we offer and for statistical analysis.

2.6 We may also use the information we collect to occasionally contact you by post, email and/or telephone with news, information and offers about our cruises and services (including those offered by Ocean Village, Princess Cruises, Swan Hellenic and P&O Cruises brands) and for market research purposes.  We give you the option to tell us if you do not want your personal information used in this way.  If at any later stage you decide you would rather not receive such information please write to us at Customer Data Department, Ocean Village, Richmond House, Terminus Terrace, Southampton, SO14 3PN.

3 Will Ocean Village share the information it receives?

3.1 If you book a cruise we may pass your personal information on to other relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as airlines, hotels and transport companies.  Your personal information may also be passed to travel agents, security and credit checking companies, credit and charge card companies, government and enforcement agencies and to the public authorities of any country in your itinerary, including customs and immigration authorities.  This may involve sending your personal information between different countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area where controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in the United Kingdom.

3.2 Contractors: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling requests, processing payments, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analysing data and providing marketing assistance.  Our contractors have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

3.3 We may share non-personal aggregate statistics about visitors to this site and traffic patterns with other parties.

4 Cookies

4.1 Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your computer s hard drive through your Web browser to enable us to recognise your browser and help us to track visitors to our site, so we can better understand what parts of our site best serve you.  We use a third party website statistics supplier, Red Sheriff, to track page use and paths through this site.  The Red Sheriff cookies are used to anonymously count site visitors and lets us know whether a person visiting the site is a return visitor.

6.1 You do not have to provide us with any of the personal information requested.

7 Security

7.1 If you make payment on-line all of your personal information is encrypted using SSL ("Secure Sockets Layer").  SSL is an industry-standard protocol for encryption over the internet.  This helps to protect your personal information from being read by anyone else.

7.2 As with any standard email, emails containing your personal data sent to or from us will not be encrypted.

8.1 If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.  Any changes to this policy made by us will be posted here and will take effect immediately. The air holiday packages in this brochure are ATOL protected, since we hold an Air Travel Organiser's Licence granted by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is ATOL 6294. Please see our booking conditions for more information. ATOL protection extends primarily to customers who book and pay in the United Kingdom.

ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services shown in this brochure. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking.

The European Commission publishes a list of air carriers which are subject to an operating ban throughout the EU and this can be viewed at: http://europa.eu.int/comm/transport/air/safety/flywell_en.htm. Ocean Village Holidays does not use any air carrier on this list.

1 Introduction

1.2 Use of the Site is on the terms and conditions contained in this document ("Terms of Use"). If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, stop using the Site immediately. By using this Site you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by these Terms of Use. They are a legal agreement between you and us and can only be amended with our consent. 8.2 In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions, our Privacy Policy and our Booking Conditions then the Booking Conditions shall take first precedence, our Privacy Policy shall take second precedence and these Terms of Use shall take third precedence.

8.3 Any formal legal notices should be sent to us at the address at the end of these Terms of Use by email confirmed by post.

8.4 Failure by us to enforce a right does not result in waiver of such right.

8.5 You may not assign or transfer your rights under this Agreement.

8.6 You and we agree that English law applies to these Terms of Use and that any dispute between us regarding the Site will only be dealt with by the English courts.
