Adam Gilbert. This guy, whether he knows it or not, is my role model. He is who I strive to be. I’ve never personally met the guy, but I still consider him a friend. He has such a great outlook on life and a great entrepreneurial spirit. He’s always with me, in my head, helping purge out all the negative thoughts and feelings of laziness. Who is Adam Gilbert and what makes him so special? Well, that’s a little difficult to explain. I’ve tried.
When I explain to my friends what Adam does for me, I tell them to think of Richard Simmons (hang with me Adam, don’t get mad yet
), but less annoying, and not as cool of a haircut. The guy is motivated to say the least. His outlook on life is so positive and his motivation is so great, it’s impossible for it not to rub off on you. He always seems to be happy and positive. I’m not sure that this guy has ever had a bad day.
Adam Gilbert runs MyBodyTutor.com. A little over a month ago, a fellow poker player suggested Adam’s services to me. He also emailed a thread I started on 2+2 to Adam. Before I could even get a chance to talk with Adam, he already knew my story. I sent Adam an email a few days later and was astonished when I got a reply almost instantly. You don’t get this level of customer service in everyday corporate America. We had a chat one day about getting started. Sort of an introduction. I was pretty much sold on using MyBodyTutor.com before we even talked just because of his lightning quick email responses. This guy is good. After signing up, we had another phone conversation about his game plan. The diet is simple, easy, and nothing fancy. The exercise I’m doing now is also straight forward and nothing fancy. He helps with all the information overload out there. However, where Adam really shines is his ability to keep me motivated. He is undoubtedly the reason that I feel just as motivated now as I did a month and a half ago. His positive attitude has actually molded my current state of mind.
I was telling a friend just a couple weeks ago: Imagine if for $100/month, you could hire your own little personal Richard Simmons (minus the cool perm) to follow you around 24/7. Whenever you felt tempted to eat a cookie and decided to give into temptation, he would just pop out of thin air like Gazoo in the Flintstones and smack some sense back into your head. How about if you’ve had a long day at work and you feel like skipping out on your nightly exercise? Boom, there’s Adam yanking your ass off the couch and pushing you towards the gym. And then he just smiles and nods when you tell him how much better you feel for doing it.
My Mom the other day said "I wish I could find your motivation and start getting more healthy". I told her to call Adam. She hasn’t done so yet, but I’ll keep urging her to do so. Now Adam won’t do it for you. You have to do it yourself. But Adam will make sure you don’t fall off track and lose sight of your goal. But what if you’ve already fallen off track? I can’t speak from personal experience there and hopefully never will have to, but I have the feeling Adam can help you deal with that too.
The bottom line is that if you have tried eating healthy and exercising in the past and it just didn’t last, then Adam Gilbert is your man. He will help you transform yourself into a better person. I was close to the bottom when I decided to turn my life around. I lived a life of excess, abusing drugs, eating huge amounts of fast food, pretty much committing suicide in a slow and painful way. My outlook on life was a complete disaster. Adam didn’t help me make the decision to turn my life around. I had to do that. However, once I made the decision, Adam pointed me in the right direction and has been pushing me down that path ever since. There’s a long road of ahead of me, but I’m not the least bit concerned because I know I will get there. Adam won’t let me fail. And I refuse to fail him. And when the decisions are tough, I just think WWAGD (What would Adam Gilbert Do?)

[...] Since getting on Adam’s program in October, I have lost 54 lbs. It has been a struggle, just like any other time I’ve tried to lose weight. However, I have used Adam’s guidance to see these struggles as just obstacles or tests that we must pass achieve the happiness. From day 1 he pounds it into your brain that you want to make the decision that makes you feel good in the long run, which will result in happiness. Every time, I put a bite of food in my mouth, I’m faced with a tough decision. Is this healthy? What are the ingredients? How much should I eat? WWAGD? [...]
