Chiefs sign veteran OL Goff

The Chiefs added experience to their offensive line at the expense of an AFC West rival, the Kansas City Star reported Wednesday, agreeing to undisclosed terms with Mike Goff.

The Chiefs confirmed the move Thursday, but said Goff had signed.

An 11-year NFL veteran, Goff spent the previous five seasons with the San Diego Chargers and never missed a start. In fact, he hasn’t started in fewer than 16 games since 2002, when he was the Cincinnati Bengals.

Goff spent six seasons with the Bengals, joining the team in 1998 and becoming a regular starter in 2000.

According to the Star, Goff could start at center or right guard in Kansas City.
