A late afternoon rally lifted the markets higher with the Dow climbing 109 points to 8030 as consumer prices slipped. Nasdaq added a point to 1627.
Falling Crude Prices Lift Dow - 04/15/09
Falling crude oil prices and consumer prices lifted the Dow 65 points to 7985 during the midday while Nasdaq lost 9 points to 1616.
Stocks Open Mostly Higher as Inflation Eases - 04/15/09
Consumer prices dipped 0.1% in March which reflected weak business activity and payroll pressures, but quelled inflationary worries. The Dow rose 25 points to 7945 while tech stocks lagged to push Nasdaq lower to 1617, down 8 points.
