Symphonic Fantasies is a concert tribute to video game music from Square Enix.
Two concerts will be performed in Germany. The first one will be presented in Oberhausen on September 11. The second one in Cologne on September 12, 2009 (sold out!).
Both will feature the WDR Radio Orchestra, WDR Radio Choir, and several soloists, conducted by Arnie Roth.

“We had to act. The interest of the fans is enormous, and so we will offer a new chance for even more people to enjoy the music with an additional concert date in Oberhausen: September 11, 2009. Nobody should miss Symphonic Fantasies, it is an important performance of wonderful video game music.” Said Winfried Fechner, orchestra manager of the WDR Radio Orchestra.

“Fanfare overture”, composed and orchestrated by Jonne Valtonen. Performed by the WDR Radio Orchestra, conducted by Niklas Willén. “Fanfare overture” is the official opening fanfare of Symphonic Fantasies.

The WDR Radio Orchestra and the WDR Radio Choir will present the “Symphonic Fantasies” concert on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 8 PM in Cologne, Germany. This highly anticipated concert will feature music from the video game soundtracks of Square Enix. Square Enix is one of the most influential providers of digital entertainment content in the world.

“We will present a huge concert of video game music, performed by the WDR Radio Orchestra, and the WDR Radio Choir.
