Bombay Bicycle Club release the first single from their astonishing debut album and their first release on Island Records, Always Like This, on April 13th.

Recorded by long-term producer Jim Abbiss, Always Like This is the sound of one of the most talked about new bands in the country, fast becoming one of the best.

Born out of the band’s love of dance music, Always Like This captures the startling rate at which their song writing and sound is coming into bloom, and will set jaws to the floor as a statement of the band’s ambition.

Celestial vocal loops meet echo chamber guitars, as Bombay Bicycle Club juggle ecstatic, anthemic melodies with an uncompromised experimental vision. Led by lead singer Jack Steadman’s unique tremulous vocals, Always Like This is defined by an irresistible bass led groove, climaxing into a Hot Chip-like 4/4 bass heavy climax.

Backed by an exclusive remix by Tim Goldsworthy of DFA, the single looks certain to be a dance floor filler to soundtrack 2009.

Bombay Bicycle Club’s as yet un-named debut album is due to be released this summer on Island Records.
