Corps de Ballet

Stacy Lowenberg is from Bettendorf, Iowa. She trained on scholarship with Melissa Hayden at North Carolina School of the Arts and at Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She attended summer courses at the School of American Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Hungarian National Ballet. She joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 1994. In 1996, Ms. Lowenberg joined Oregon Ballet Theatre. She returned to PNB as a member of the corps de ballet in 1999.
Ms. Lowenberg has danced leading roles in George Balanchine's Agon, Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet, Divertimento No. 15, The Four Temperaments, A Midsummer Night's Dream (Titania, Helena, Hippolyta), Serenade, and Symphony in C; Todd Bolender's Souvenirs; Eliot Feld's Intermezzo; William Forsythe's One Flat Thing, reproduced; Ronald Hynd's The Sleeping Beauty (Lilac Fairy); Jerome Robbins' The Concert; Kent Stowell's Carmina Burana, Firebird, Nutcracker (Flora, Peacock), and Silver Lining; Susan Stroman's TAKE FIVE...More or Less; and Lynn Taylor-Corbett's The Ballad of You and Me and Mercury. She originated leading roles in Val Caniparoli's Torque, Dominique Dumais' Scripted in the Body and Time and Other Matter, Nicolo Fonte's Within/Without, and Paul Gibson's Rush. Ms. Lowenberg has also been featured in George Balanchine's Diamonds, La Valse, Symphony in Three Movements, and Theme and Variations; William Forsythe's In the middle, somewhat elevated; and Kent Stowell's Carmina Burana.

Ms. Lowenberg has performed as a guest artist with Des Moines Ballet Theatre.

In addition to her performing career, Ms. Lowenberg is a Pilates instructor for Pacific Northwest Ballet's Conditioning program and teaches frequently at Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She has been a guest teacher at Des Moines Ballet Theatre School and the Tri-Cities Academy of Dance. She has also choreographed works for PNB annual Choreographers' Showcase.
