NEON Ecosystem

ask ARM*
*
*

The NEONTM ecosystem is the rapidly growing set of ARM Connected Community members actively engaged in engineering their IP with, for, or around the ARM NEON Technology. The ecosystem includes silicon vendors who have licensed ARM processors that include NEON, hardware design partners who create development and evaluation boards based on these ARM processors, and the large number of multimedia codec vendors who are actively working on optimizing their codecs for NEON.

Silicon Licensees

NEON technology is an integral part of the CortexTM-A series of processors which have been licensed by several leading silicon vendors.

Hardware

The ARM Connected Community includes companies that provide Cortex-A series based development platforms suitable for software development for NEON technology.

Multimedia solutions and codec vendors

The ARM Connected Community includes an extensive collection of leading third party companies that can provide a range of multimedia solutions, all optimised for NEON technology.

ARM has been working very closely with the following partners in their efforts to provide highly optimized NEON solutions. Several partners will be showing demonstrations of their products at forthcoming ARM events, showcasing the gains their software has achieved on the NEON platform.

These video, audio, speech and image codecs are designed to be deployed in a wide variety of new ARM Powered products based on the ARM Cortex-A series processors, including mobile phones, PMPs, PDAs, portable audio players, digital set-top boxes etc.
