Background Information
We are eight work colleagues from Brighton. Our company, Spannerworks, sponsors the Amani Children’s Home in Tanzania, East Africa. The home is a non-profit organisation for street children who are homeless or orphaned. It provides food, education and counseling, and it aims to reunite children with relatives.
On the 1st September 2007 we are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the home. The money we raise will go towards building a playground, and also to help with their family reunification programme.
Our trip is self funded, and we felt it would be great to do something for the home as well. We feel passionate about the home, because of the great work it achieves.
EVERY PENNY WE RAISE GOES TO THE HOME.
There are no administration, advertising or marketing costs and none of the trip costs are taken from the funds that we will raise.
We will be featuring all our sponsors, friends and partners on the official climb website and blog.
