Ward 20 encompasses this City's diversity, history, progress, challenges, compassion and opportunity. If Toronto is a city of neighbourhoods, Trinity-Spadina/Ward 20 is a microcosm of the city!
  • From the Waterfront Communities of York Quay, the Central Waterfront and Bathurst Quay;
  • to historic neighbourhoods like Seaton Village, the Annex, Baldwin Village, The Grange, Harbord Village, Bellevue Square, and Huron Sussex;
  • to the thriving marketplaces in Kensington and Chinatown;
  • the balance of arts, innovation and heritage found on Queen Street West, Wellington Place and throughout King-Spadina;
  • the opportunities for revitalization, growth and community-building in Alexandra Park, Cityplace and the Railway Lands; and
  • the long list of Trinity-Spadina's insitutions form the core of the City's academic, artistic, cultural, social services and health sciences community.
Throughout Trinity-Spadina there is a vital mix of residential and mixed use neighbourhoods, commercial areas and institutions. The people who live, work and play in Trinity-Spadina are engaged and commited to the preserving these precious elements of our city and enhancing the public realm. By working together, we can build on the successes of each these neighbourhoods to address the challenges facing others in the ward. Communication and information sharing is critical.

Whether the topic is community investments in housing, social services, parks, main streets and neighbourhood boulvevards, private developments, heritage preservation, traffic and transit planning, business development or cultural festivals and events... the whole community, which includes residents and local business, together with your Councillor need to be at the table with city staff and proponents to ensure that what is good in our neighbourhoods is not changed and that changes that are proposed become a benifit to all.
