Peyton Manning is one of the most recognizable football players in the NFL. Manning joined the Colts in 1998 as the first pick overall in the NFL Draft. Since then he has been in the Pro Bowl eight times, has thrown for 49 touchdowns in a season (2004 - which was the record until New England's Tom Brady broke it in 2007 with 50), and won a Super Bowl ring in 2007.

Team Info

The Colts began life in Baltimore in 1946 but left the city in March 1984, moving to Indianapolis. Even though the Colts won the 1971 Super Bowl while in Baltimore, until 2007 they had failed to make it to the big game while based in Indianapolis. However, they capped a four-year run in the postseason in February 2007 with a Super Bowl victory against the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI in Miami. The Colts' 12-4 regular season record was actually their worst mark in three years, but they ran through the play-offs, defeating their arch-rivals New England in the AFC Championship game to meet the Bears in the Super Bowl. Although they could not repeat as Super Bowl champions in 2008, their impressive 13-3 record helped them to retain the AFC South title.
