She helped the Nittany Lions to four Big 10 conference titles from 2002 to 2005
and two College Cup Semi-Final appearances. In 2005, she led the Big 10 in single-season
goals with 31 and led in career goals with 91. Her final year with Penn State was quite possibly
her finest as the undefeated Nittany Lions became the Big Ten conference champions and
made it to the final four of the Division I NCAA College Cup Championships. Weimer was
also named Penn State’s Female Player of the Year for the 2005-2006 school year. In 2004,
she was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, was a runner up for the MAC Hermann
Trophy and was again named as an NSCAA First-Team All-American. During her sophomore
campaign, Weimer was a MAC Hermann Trophy Semi-Finalist and she earned a spot on the
All Big Ten Team as well as being honored as an NSCAA First Team All-American. She was
honored as the Big Ten Freshman of the year in 2002. Overall, Weimer notched 91 goals and
32 assists in her collegiate career for Penn State.
Weimer was named Connecticut’s top female athlete in 2006 and was a twotime
NSCAA High School All-American, two-time Parade All-American, three-time All-New
England selection, as well as a three-time All-State selection. She claimed the school record
scoring 109 career goals.
