Isn’t this only the second win for Hathaway so far? I’m probably wrong, there’s been 2052058258285 critics awards in like the last week alone.
And the score for Miracle at St. Anna? Really? I thought that was a whole lot of “meh”
Anne won SEFC and NBR.
Yay Sean Penn! Yay Heath! and yay Viola!
Its Hatahway’s 4th win…5th if you include her desert palm award in the Palm Springs Film Fest.
and this is the 108th win for Ledger… thats great… if he doesnt get the oscar… people will die…
Sean Penn and Heath Ledger! YESSSSS!
Terence Blanchard! Unexpected but delightful.
yay for another well deserve best pic for benjie button.
wow i like their choices esp ben buttton for best pic kudos to houston critics!
another prize for the marvelous and brilliant Sean penn
Viola Davis is fine in “Doubt,” but I don’t think it’s award worthy. She’s in the film for two minutes, and it’s a good two minutes, but not a brilliant two minutes. If someone is going to win for such minimal screen time, I need to be blasted out of my seat by their performance. For me, it was a decent two minutes, nothing outstanding.
On the other end of the spectrum, Kate Winslet (thrown into supporting for “The Reader” despite much screen time) is simply remarkable in that film!
Another prize for the brilliant Heath Ledger as the Joker. I’m so happy for Mickey Rourke as well.
