East 90s, Manhattan
My wife, Joan, and I rented the top floor of a brownstone.
It had a small terrace and a bathroom with a skylight.
We bought some zebra-skin chairs. The place looked like
a million dollars. By then I was working for my cousin,
who owned what would become Marvel Comics. I wrote
westerns, war stories and romances, which I did in a female
voice, "as told to Stan Lee."
