World Records: 100m, 200m, 400m for amputees
Since June 2006, he has been an ambassador of 'Soul of Africa'. 'Soul of Africa' is a project that focuses on landmine victims and people with disabilities. Mineseeker Foundation launched the project. Nelson Mandela, Graça Machel and Sir Richard Branson are all patrons of this project.
In 2007 Nedbank Championship he broke his own 200m world record (21-66) and 400m world record (49.16). He also became the first amputee to run the 100 metres in under 11 seconds.
