Smashing pumkins have always been terrible (as well as radiohead), Chris Cornell has always only been able to sing in the stuido for some reason? No true talent there. You’ve got to love rock star champagne socialists. Maybe Morello should try reading The Black Book of Communism instead of Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky. He’d come across like much less of a hypocritical douche.

You know, there’s a whole world of grey between the black-and-white of free market fundamentalism on one side or communism on the other.

For some reason Americans seem to think it’s either one or the other, all or nothing. People like RATM promote this dumb, polarized attitude among many others.

Typically, people that promote republican talking points on websites aren’t people that have felt the full benefit of the capitalist system. I don’t get that. I don’t get why people who work hard for too little money for their entire lives support a system that might as well keep them in slavery. Individual achievement isn’t rewarded in America anymore, the only thing that matters is where you were born and who your parents are. If I’m going to work too hard for too little money for my entire life, I’d rather have more vacation time, universal health care, and a good safety net in case one of the well-born decides to take my job, and the jobs of my fellows, away. That’s the least the top 1% can do for me, since I make their stuff and buy it, too.

Tom Morello needs to go to move to communist China because he is always bitching about capitalism, where motivated people who get off there ass are successful. Deal with it.
