Full card released for Bellator Fighting Championships Week 7 in Chicago

Bellator Fighting Championships today released its full card, including the two semifinal matchups for the organization's eight-man welterweight tournament, for its Week 7 event.

The show takes place May 15 and airs via one-day delay on ESPN Deportes.

In addition to the tournament semifinalists, other notables on the card include UFC veteran Eddie Sanchez, former KOTC champ Anthony Lapsley and "Fight Girls" kickboxer Kerry Vera, the wife of UFC vet Brandon Vera.

As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported last week, the Week 7 event takes place at the historic Aragon Ballroom.

The two finalists for Bellator's welterweight tournament will be determined when former UFC champion Dave Menne (43-15-2) takes on Omar De La Cruz (4-1) and Jorge Ortiz (16-4) meets Lyman Good (8-0).

Nice to see Lapsley in action again, I wonder why he wasn't involved in the tournament? He's better than most of the guys in the 170 lb. bracket.

Eddie Sanchez = All Ego.

I met him at an autograph signing for the current UFC book back in December in Costa Mesa, California. It was right after his loss at UFC Fight For The Troops and the guy was basically a jerk.

Maybe he was being a jerk because he just loss.

I mean I doubt that would put him in a good mood.

But I hear what you're saying...these guys are professional. They need to always act that way. Especially when dealing with the fans. There is no excuse to be negative to the people who are keeping you in a job.
