The Chiefs Cheerleaders recently entertained Kansas City
crowds with two showings of their two hour Broadway styled variety show. “Celebrate America” has been a labor of
love for our troops,” explains Cheerleader Director, Elaine Hart. “The sacrifices the men and women of our military
make on a daily basis are unbelievable. The show is a small thank you gift to our armed forces and we perform the show
once a year here in Kansas City so our fans can get a sneak peak at the production.“
January and February military tours find the Chiefs Cheerleaders heading to Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda,
Maryland where they will visit wounded warriors and perform “Celebrate America”. This is the first show of its type to
be performed at the famous hospital. The cheerleaders are also entertaining military members and their families at
Thule Air Base in Greenland, and bases in El Salvador and Honduras. “We’re thrilled to bring a little piece of home to
our troops stationed in these remote bases. Freedom isn’t free and on behalf of the Chiefs, we are privileged to show
our appreciation to our soldiers.”
The Chiefs Cheerleaders have previously toured bases in Egypt, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Cuba, Spain, Portugal,
and stateside at bases throughout the nation.
The Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders highly acclaimed two hour variety show highlights our nation’s military and
cultural history from the early 40’s to present day, also incorporating acting, dancing, crowd involvement and 41
costume changes!
The Chiefs Variety Show has been recognized by the Department of the Defense as being one of the best shows ever
performed by an NFL Cheerleading team. The cheerleaders have performed the show at military bases both stateside
and abroad, locations including Washington, Nebraska, Kansas, Italy and Cuba.

Cheerleaders,
Thank you for doing this for the troops. I was able to see one USO show during my
22 months in Nam – way back when – and still remember it. It really means a lot for the guys to receive a treat
like this. God Bless You.
