    Beatmania Controller, finally!!

After spending a fortune on a US Beatmania bundle, I finally get to play my IIDX 13. And I have to say, it's awesome!! Definitely worth forking over the huge amount of money spent.

On a side note, the US Beatmania game sucked. Played it for a bit and then just put it aside for IIDX.

    Japanese PS2

It arrived today, and came with 5 Japanese games Woot woot!

Although I understand Japanese to a certain degree, I had to constantly look up some characters in the dictionary. That's why it's taking me a long time to play the games. But hey, it's a really fun way to learn a language not to mention it's easier to remember stuff.

This Japanese PS2 is a ceremic white SCPH 70000 model, and it looks a lot cooler than my black US slim model. Bought it on Ebay for a $100 (plus the 5 games and a white memory card). Definitely a very good use of a hundred dollars.

    Complaining about Beatmania controllers

Seriously, why must Beatmania controllers only be bundled up with the game and no other means of obtaining a new one? And why are there no third-party making them like they do with DDR pads? I mean, haven't Konami realized that there are people who want 2 for multiplaying, or there are people who don't want the crappy American version of the game and are instead only interested in the controller to play imported Beatmania? There are a whole bunch of the Beatmania game floating around but not enough controllers to go along with them. The only ways to get one is to buy the bundle or through Ebay for the latecomers like me who didn't catch all the hype when it was first released years ago. I'm just going to get a bundle and trade in the game to Gamestop I guess.

Guess I'll go eat some cake now.
