Ricky "Hitman" Hatton fans, including myself, may get a little upset by EA's predictions of his fight against Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao set for tomorrow night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The publisher simulated the bout in their upcoming boxing title, Fight Night Round 4.

Both men absolutely pummel each other in this fight and FNR4's new physics engine shines in this 2 minute 10 second video. The way each fighter's face ripples after getting punched and how the blood spews from their mouths and runs down their face is something never before seen in this much detail in a video game before. Every time I watch a new FNR4 trailer I can't help but compare it with UFC 2009 and so far I'm more impressed with FNR4's graphics.

The gameplay is something I still haven't gotten my hands on but will soon when the demo releases at the end of this month. The demo will feature the same fight seen here, Hatton vs. Pacquiao. If you pre-order your copy of FNR4 now through GameStop you can get access to the demo 2 weeks before everyone else, according to GameStop. The game is scheduled for release on June 30. Click here for a list of all the known fighters in the game so far.

We at GP Sports have noticed a lot of questions around the forums relating to how Madden 10 will look on the Wii versus its next-generation counterparts. One GamePro reader asked the same question I did when I first saw the Wii screenshot, "what's with the pin head players?" Well fear not, we have asked the experts and discovered the all new Madden '10 for the Nintendo Wii.

First off, if you expect it to look like the screenshots you've seen at GP Sports before, you can forget it. The Wii will never have the same graphics as the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3. However that doesn't mean that it can't have a new genre defining style. This year, Madden 10 arrives on the Wii with breath-taking visuals that they hope will captivate both seasoned veterans and new comers to the franchise. Completely redesigned and built from the ground up, Madden NFL 10 introduces a unique art style that they believe will redefine the look of sports games on the Wii. All-new player models embody characteristics of your favorite athletes, plus new larger-than-life stadiums showcase the unique details found at each of the 32 NFL fields.

Gametrailers.com had a quick video interview with the producer of the upcoming game, Need for Speed: SHIFT. From what I can gather, NFS: SHIFT is really aiming to break into the simulation style racer. But, I figure it'll probably fall closer to Race Driver: GRID than it would Forza 2 or Race Pro. Also, given the NFS franchise history, the physics of the game might still stay closer to an arcade style experience. However, the producer says, "SHIFT lands squarely in the simulation sub-genre, and what we'd want to call an authentic race experience." I guess we won't know for sure until the demo releases, which the producer stated will come out sometime in the summer.

One thing it has going for is that it looks like the graphics will be sweet, especially in the crash department.

The #1 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft

So the NFL draft is behind us finally, all that hoopla over who gets who can finally be put to rest. Personally I've never watched a draft live and I don't think I ever will. Some people make a huge deal out of it though, don't they? I know Fred Toucher, a popular morning radio personality on WBCN here in Boston held a draft party complete with a draft board and loads of stat sheets strewn around him.

What I'm interested in are the results. I can't be bothered with wasting my time on a Sunday watching that, and from the sounds of it most ESPN personalities can't either. They too want to hear the results, and so the results I shall present you.

Check out the ordered list of first round draft picks after the jump. Then make your way to the gallery to look at 32 new screens complete with overall ratings. After that, if you're still interested you can check out the document I've embeded that includes the entire draft class and each player's overall rating.

Madden 10 Rookie Draft (35 images)

The first 30 picks in the NFL Draft, broken down statistically in Madden 10.

Last week was a big week for Madden fans around the world as they announced their cover athlete, or should I say athletes. The excitement surrounding that, coupled with the GamePro magazine cover and the NFL draft made that week an 11 in any fans weekly rating.

This week, they are certainly trying to keep pace with further information surrounding their forray into the quarterback-less offense of the Wildcat formation. Few teams started out the season running it, but many have begun to since then. With the proven sucess of the Miami Dolphins (1-15 to 11-5) expect to see more teams implementing the offense, granted they have: A. Two good running backs or B. 0 Good quarterbacks.

In an earlier post I revealed that Prince Fielder was chosen as the cover athlete for 2K Sports' second take at The Bigs. Now the cover art has been released along with all new screenshots.

Check out the gallery below for new Bigs 2 screens. The Bigs 2 hits shelves July, 7. Look for more news on this title in the coming weeks.

More Fight Night Round 4 (20 images)

EA Sports' new feature is essentially a create-a-school mode and is completely online. By online I mean, you create your team via a Web browser on your PC and then go to your console (360 or PS3) and download your team. You can then use your team in Play Now, Dynasty, and Online Dynasty modes.

I'll let Jason Thompson and Russ Kiniry explain the rest in walk through video after the jump.

Boxing has the Fight Night series. WWE has their Smackdown vs Raw series. The UFC has had nothing to brag about when it came to video games, until now.

The fastest growing sport in the world finally has a video game that it can be proud of. No more terrible graphics and 30 second button mashing fights. Finally, a game that is fun even after the first 5 minutes.

The demo for UFC 2009, released last Thursday, is only a mere peak into what the game is going to be. But damn, its one bloody, brutal and extremely fun preview.
