Luton Town can confirm they have completed the signing of 23-year-old striker Ian Henderson following his release from Northampton Town.

Hatters' manager Mick Harford revealed the former Norwich City man will go straight into the Town squad to face Chester City on Saturday and has been issued with squad number 7.

Harford said: "He's on the coach and in the squad for Chester and we're looking forward to him being a part of the squad and being a success here."

With another addition to his attacking options Harford was also keen to highlight the new arrival's versatility.

"He can play anywhere along the front line, behind the front two, on left and on the right," commented the Hatters boss. "He's got good ability, good awareness and is technically very good.

"He'll hold the ball up and he gets himself into positions where he's quite hard to mark."

It has also been confirmed that the Club have extended the loan of Kevin Gallen in time for him to be available for the clash with Chester.

Gallen signed for the Hatters on loan in mid November and although he has only found the back of the net once in nine games, he has been instrumental in the Hatters recent good form.

The Club can also confirm midfielders Garreth O'Connor and Kevin Watson have both now been de-registered.

On arrival at Kenilworth Road the pair both agreed short-term deals which expired at the end of 2008, but have been unable to hold down regular places in the Hatters starting eleven.
