Why are there no captions - I don't know what any of the things I am looking at are.

I especially want to know what number 3 is: it's terrifying.

I'm pleased the Independent has decided to slowly phase out these consumer sections, they are after all a cop out from real journalism. If you really find it necessary to gorp at useless plastic fads get yourself an Argos catalogue- written by real journalists!

The best gadget would be the one that lets you see the text describing the best gadgets. Or am I just old fashioned?

No5 - Difficult one - beach wear weightloss device - get rid of the handles as you sit in the sun?
No6 - An alram clock with electric eye brow tweasers for permanent hair loss
No 7 - the perfect tool for when the airplane is diverted to Pyongyang on the way to Malaga and memory loss ensues post alchoholic binge
No8 - Soak up the sounds whilst looking like a plonker on the beach. Go for a dip and forget you have them on.
No 9 - The most cumbersome charger that anyone could design. Try using that handle covered in grease
No10 - Take a photo of your burnt bits to send back home

Hmm, I have no idea what number 3 is. Number 5 possibly a heavy-duty pedometer? Number 6 clearly says travel alarm but are those alarming metal prongs some kind of mini hair straighteners or do they deliver an electric shock in order to wake your jetlagged self up? A caption would probably answer my questions but in the meantime guessing is fun.

Quik Pod - don't need to ask anyone for a photo, no just sit there looking like a complete arse with a camera on a stick, point, shoot and try again because you just chopped your hair off.

Also 249 quid for a pair of headphones!!!!!!

If you want to see captions run a pop up blocker, then window opens as a standard browser and shows text and usual dozen or so adverts.
