We reserve the right to remove content that violates our guidelines and terms of use without notification. If you have uploaded a video, an image or commented on a post and do not see it on the site, chances are it was flagged and removed for inappropriate content or copyright infringement.
General Guidelines

Follow the rules. Seriously!
Failure to comply with posted guidelines will result with a warning followed by a deletion of your account if you continue to disregard these really simple guidelines. This isn't baseball and we have a two-strike policy here. That means that you if mess up twice, you're out.

Don't even think about doing anything illegal.
If we find you doing anything illegal, your account will be deleted and we will report you immediately to the appropriate authorities.
VIDEO, AUDIO AND IMAGE UPLOAD GUIDELINES

Upload your own photos, videos, and audio files.
We take copyright infringement very seriously. If you don't own the rights to a photo, video, or an audio track please don't put it up. And remember that using another person's picture or video and calling it your own is lame and just not right.

Don't upload inappropriate or tasteless stuff.
We're well-aware of the existence of countless sites where you could upload and view pornography and shocking photos and video. But guess what? This isn't one of those sites. So, if you're caught uploading violent, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, hateful, derogatory, defamatory, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable material you'll get one warning. A second violation will get you tossed and that's that.

Share your presence on MTV!
We encourage you to share your photos and videos with all your friends and the rest of the world. Post them on your other pages and post your links in emails and forums. Our site allows you to tell the world about yourself and your interests so why not take advantage of that?

Don't be abusive towards others.
Behave the same way on our site as you would in the real world. Treat people as if you were talking to them face-to-face and show them the same respect you expect them to show you.

Don't spam or copy and paste annoying messages to other users.
That's something that only losers do. We know you're not looking to be that loser everyone talks about, so trolling and plastering people with unwanted or inappropriate comments is definitely not cool. Spamming is definitely lame!

Respect others.
We at MTV.com are a diverse community. Preserving this means that respecting other people's beliefs and property is a must.
