Choosing your handset - NextG or GSM
When you choose your handset, you have the option of Next G or GSM phones.
There are a range of features on this Next G plan which are Next G / 3G only. You will need a Next G / 3G handset and to be in a NextG / 3G area supported by Telstra.
Your Bonus Options
The following bonus options are available for you to choose from on the Telstra Member plan. You can choose one bonus option.
Pay 20c for the first 10 minutes of voice calls to mobiles on any Australian Network at night (including mobile on Optus, Vodafone etc.) with no call connection fee. This discounted rate is also available for video calls if you have a 3G or Next G mobile. From 8pm-7am, 7 days a week.

Free 24/7 to ONE Telstra Mobile or Fixed Line for first 3 minutes
Choose one Telstra Mobile OR any fixed line number in Australia and calls to that number are free for the first 3 minutes. There is no call connection fee and this discounted rate is also available for video calls if you have a 3G or Next G mobile (a $3 setup fee applies). Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the first 3 minutes.

Free Text to Telstra Mobiles
Send free text messages to any Telstra Mobile at night (up to 200 per night) in Australia. Then, pay only 15c per text message to friends on any network at any time of day, 24/7. Free text available from 8pm-7am, 7 days a week.

50 Text per Month to Friends on Any Network
Send 50 free text messages to any mobile on any mobile network in Australia , 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Or send 50 free Talking Text messages to a Telstra home phone each month. Free text available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You can choose one hour of the day or night to receive the first 20 minutes of each voice call made within that hour free. You can call any eligible fixed or mobile number within Australia any day of the week. There is no call connection fee and this discounted rate is also available for video calls if you have a 3G or Next G mobile. Free 20 minute calls only during your selected hour of day.
Only pay for the time that you use. A 27c call connection fee applies. Voice and video call rates are charged per second instead of in 30 second blocks. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Browsing the Internet on Your Phone
Your ability to browse the internet on your phone depends on three factors. If you want to
use email, the email data that you send between you phone and the your email server will counted as part of your data /mobile internet plan.
- For the fastest access to the internet, you will need to use a Next G phone.
- You will need to have a mobile data plan, or be prepared to 'pay by use'. See list of plan prices below.
- You will need to be in an NextG / 3G area.

Voicemail (MessageBank®)
Voicemail deposits and retrievals are charged at 30c per 30 seconds for retrievals.
Music
You can download tracks from BigPond Music to compatible phones. You can buy a song on your mobile and pick up a bonus copy of that track online for your PC, OR you can also purchase from BigPond Music on your PC and have a bonus copy delivered to your handset.
Mobile TV from Foxtel
Foxtel channels on your Telstra mobile. Channels include Sky News Headlines, CNN, Fox Sports, Fox8, Comedy Channel, Disney, E! Entertainment, MTV, Discovery mobile, Sky News Business. Monthly subscription costs apply.
