President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Tuesday highlighted the significant role of women in the society and underline that any deviation in human society results from ignoring women's role.
He made the remark in a special ceremony held on the occasion of the Mother's Day marking the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The day fell on June 23 this year.
Referring to western societies, he said women have lost their real status in the West.
According to statistics a high percentage of families in western countries are singles, live with pets and are deprived of warm family life, he said.
In the western countries, they have forced women to fulfill humiliating tasks and they want to do the same in the Iranian society which requires vigilance of women, he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has uplifted the status of women and have provided them with suitable grounds to find their real position, said the president.
Iranians would cut off any aggressive hands stretched towards the country, said the president.
Addressing enemies of Iran, the president said, "Although you have succeeded in the past in taking over part of the Iranian soil and then were forced by the Iranian nation to give it back, now Iranians will cut off any hands stretched towards the country before they (enemies) find any time to put their plan in action." President Ahmadinejad referred to the key role of Iranian women in growing up brave generations who would sacrifice themselves to defend the country at any time.
