Exit polls on Wednesday showed the ruling coalition slightly ahead of the opposition Hindu-nationalist alliance, but both groups needed smaller allies for a majority.

  A U.S. jury found five men guilty on Tuesday of plotting with al Qaeda to blow up Chicago’s Sears Tower after two previous attempts to convict the group ended in mistrials.
