The Independent Home Delivery Service
In a new service recently launched by The Independent, you can now have your paper delivered to your home before 7am each morning.
Whatever your lifestyle, home delivery brings you both convenience and substantial savings. Whether you are preparing for your usual commute, a breakfast meeting or a contemplative coffee, The Independent will give you the edge with our incisive comment, news and analysis.
Not only are we offering the delivery service for free, but as an introductory offer we are also giving you substantial savings off the usual cover price of your newspapers. You can choose the frequency of delivery that suits you the best: either a Monday to Friday delivery at £4.00 per week, or Monday through to Saturday at £5.00 per week.

Terms & Conditions
1. This subscription service is available to UK residents who live within the delivery area as defined by postcodes (to check if we deliver to your address please enter your postcode at https://www.bookshoppartnership.co.uk/theindependent/index.php)
2. In addition to 1) deliveries are only made to drop off points directly adjacent to the street e.g. on doorstep, through letterbox. Deliveries are not available to upper floors or areas with restricted access e.g. through security doors.
3. Subscriptions are on an indefinite basis subject to an initial minimum 3-month (13 weeks) period, 6 month period (26 weeks) or 12 month period (52 weeks).
4. If you sign up for a 3 month subscription you will receive a £25 John Lewis voucher, 6 months for a £50 voucher, or 12 months for a £100 voucher. Please allow 28 days for delivery of the vouchers.
5. After the initial minimum sign up period - you may cancel your subscription by writing to customer services at the address below. The subscription will be cancelled one month after receipt of the written request.
6. Subscriptions may be for either a Monday - Friday delivery at £4.00 per week or Monday - Saturday at £5.00 per week.
7. Delivery will commence the following Monday after you have placed an order. For delivery to commence the following Monday orders must be received by Thursday.
8. In the event of adverse weather conditions The Independent reserves the right to suspend newspaper delivery temporarily. Readers will be refunded or credited for any missed deliveries.
9. All subscriptions will be charged in advance on a 13-week recurring basis if you have signed up for the 3 month option, 26 weeks if you have signed up for the 6 month option, or 52 weeks if you have chosen the 12 month option.
10. There is a facility to suspend delivery for 'holidays', subject to request by telephone 2 working days in advance.
11. Payment can be made by credit card (MasterCard or Visa), Visa debit card or by direct debit. If choosing to pay by card, then you must also agree to a recurring transaction authority which will enable us to charge your card as and when subscription payments become due.

13. In order to set up a direct debit or card payment you need to be the signatory on the account/cardholder and have your bank/sort code or card details to hand.
14. All payments will be charged to Bookshop Partnership Ltd.
15. Refunds will be made for notified holiday weeks and for non-deliveries by Independent Newspapers notified by the subscriber to customer services on the expected day of delivery. No other refunds are due as a result of ad-hoc changes by the subscriber.
16. Refunds will be made by cheque payable to named account holder we have on file. Refunds for non-delivery will be made at a daily rate of 80p and on the weekly rate for holiday weeks. Any refunds owing will be calculated and paid at the end of the initial subscription period.
17. Direct Debit and recurring transaction authority cancellations must be made in writing to customer services the address below.

Terms & Conditions
1. This subscription service is available to UK residents only.
2. Subscriptions are subject to an initial minimum sign up period of 24 weeks. If paying by Direct Debit they are on an indefinite basis and we require 4 weeks notice before your next 24 week period starts if you wish to cancel.
3. There are three different types of voucher subscriptions. These are: Seven days a week (Monday to Sunday) at £5 per week (£120 for 24 weeks). Six days a week (Monday to Saturday) at £4.50 per week (£108 for 24 weeks). Two days a week (Saturday and Sunday) at £2.80 per week (£67.20 for 24 weeks). The magazine offer is not available on a 2 day newspaper subscription.
4. Subscriptions are in the form of vouchers and we can either send vouchers direct to your local participating newsagent or send you sheets of vouchers to redeem at any participating newsagent. Offer available to first time subscribers only.
5. Vouchers are only accepted at participating newsagents. The Independent cannot provide customers with details of participating newsagents.
6. The cost of the voucher subscription does not cover the cost of delivery of any newspapers. This must be arranged and paid for separately by the customer with their newsagent.
7. Your subscription starts on a Monday, 10 working days from the date of your order.
8. You will be allowed to take up to 3 weeks (21 days) of holidays.
9. If paying by card or cheque then your vouchers will be dated so that they last for a 27 week period.
10. If paying by Direct Debit then vouchers can be returned to us and a refund will be returned to you by cheque within 10 working days. To claim for holidays when paying by Direct Debit please return any unused vouchers in the freepost envelope to Independent Subscriptions, Freepost, NAT 8584, PO Box 104, SY8 1ZA. If you are on a 7-day subscription refunds will be 71p per day. If you are on 6-day subscriptions refunds will be 75p per day. If you are on a weekend subscription, the refund will be £1.40 per day.
11. Vouchers are not transferable and only valid in the UK. They cannot be accepted in lieu of payment for any other article.

How can I request a refund or cancel my order?
If you are not satisfied with our service we can cancel your order with 14 days notice, and will refund you pro rata less a 10 administration fee. Please call our Customer Service team for a refund/cancellation.
How will my papers be sent?
Papers are sent in strong plastic bags to ensure the secure delivery of your paper.
Where are my papers printed?
Subscriptions are fulfilled using copies of The Independent which are printed in London.
What size will my papers be?

The Independent Readers Club is a new, exclusive Club, open to Independent readers that sign up to our Home Delivery service. The Readers Club will shortly be opened up to all Independent subscribers, whether Home Delivery or voucher subscribers.
The Readers Club hosts events through out the year that are a forum for networking, discussion and debate. It brings readers into direct contact with Independent editorial staff so that they can express their opinions about their newspaper, give feedback and meet some of their favourite writers and columnists.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
How do the voucher subscriptions work?
There are two types of vouchers: one where the vouchers are sent direct to yourself and one where the vouchers are sent direct to a newsagent of your choice.
You can subscribe to have vouchers for every day of the week (Monday to Sunday), six days a week (Monday to Saturday) or for two days a week (Saturday and Sunday).
If you decide to have the vouchers sent direct to yourself then we will dispatch 24 weeks worth of vouchers to you. There will be a voucher for each day of the week that you have subscribed for. You simply take the voucher into a participating newsagent and exchange it for your copy of The Independent or The Independent on Sunday.
If you decide to have the vouchers sent direct to your newsagent then we will dispatch 24 weeks of worth of vouchers to your newsagent. There will be a voucher for each week. We will also send you a letter to confirm that your vouchers have been sent to your newsagent and when your subscription will start and end.
Can I use my vouchers at any newsagent?
The majority of newsagents and shops will accept the vouchers, but please do check with your newsagent prior to subscribing that they are happy to accept them.
Will my newsagent lose out if I take out a voucher subscription?
No, they receive the same amount of money as they would if you paid for your newspaper normally and they also receive a handling fee per voucher to cover their costs.
What happens if I go on holiday?
If you select to have a subscription where the vouchers are sent direct to yourself then although you will be sent 24 weeks worth of vouchers they are dated so that they can be used for a period of up to 27 weeks. This means that you can have up to three weeks break from using the vouchers if you wish.
If you select to have a subscription where the vouchers are sent to a newsagent you will need to notify your newsagent of your holiday and confirm with them that they are happy for you to not use your vouchers for that period. Your newsagent can hand in your vouchers to their wholesalers up to 8 weeks after the date on the voucher.
Who will debit my account if I subscribe?
Your account will be debited by Bookshop Partnership Ltd who handle the Independent Voucher Subscription service on behalf of The Independent.
HOME DELIVERY
How does the Home Delivery service work?
Once you sign up to our Home Delivery service, delivery will commence the following Monday. Your paper will be delivered through your letterbox before 7am every morning, with no need to involve your local newsagent.
What happens if I go on holiday?
If you are planning to go on holiday, we just need 2 days notice to suspend your delivery for that period. You simply need to call our Customer Services team on 0870 750 5070 and let us know your holiday dates.
Where does Home Delivery operate?
We can deliver your newspaper to your door if you have a Central London Postcode. If you live outside London, we can offer you a voucher subscription instead. You may still be able to have a home delivery, but this would be organized by you directly with your local newsagent.
