Assistant Professor: Mathematics
|
Stephen Yeung received his B.Sc. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and his Ph.D. from Cornell University. He has diverse research interests, having worked on dynamical systems theory including coupled oscillators, Josephson junction arrays, injection lasers, and sigma-delta data converters, on which he is a co-inventor in two patents. He has also developed algorithms to analyze microarray data to reconstruct gene regulatory networks efficiently. His current research focuses on the mathematics of elections. In his spare time, Stephen likes to think about mundane things, such as the equalities 4+1=5, 4=2+2, and 2187=(2+1)^7.
