SK Sembulan Kota Kinabalu emerge Under-12 champions

SEKOLAH Kebangsaan Sembulan Kota Kinabalu beat Sekolah Kebangsaan Kepayang 1-0 to win the Under-12 title of the Milo Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival (6th leg) at the Suria Indoor Sports Centre, Jesselton Point in Kota Kinabalu over the weekend.

The winners thus earned Sabah's sole ticket to the Grand Finals on July 26 in Selangor.

Takhi FC Football Academy emerged winners of the Under-16 category when they beat Maktab Rendah Sain Mara in a penalty shoot-out after both teams drew 1-1 at full time. However, both teams gained berths into the Grand Finals.

This carnival will be held in every Malaysian state -- comprising 14 legs -- every weekend until July 4 when 32 of the best teams in the Under-16 category and 16 teams from the Under-12 category from all 14 legs play in the Grand Finals.

The top four teams in each category from all the legs and from the Grand Finals will be awarded cash and other prizes in the form of Milo products, commemorative Milo Hidup Bola balls and Figos jerseys.

The 7th leg will be held on Saturday at the Safira Sports Planet Bandar Seberang Prai Penang.

Entry fee is RM40 per team and every team will receive souvenir Milo T-shirts and drinks.
