Soros Foundations

The Public Health Program works closely with individual Soros foundations to implement policies and support local organizations. Find out more about Soros foundations.

OSI�s Sexual Health and Rights Project (SHARP) works to improve the sexual health and rights of socially marginalized populations, with a focus on developing innovative service models, capacity building, information sharing and networking, and advocacy. SHARP has a broad geographic mandate and is undertaking activities in Africa, Southeast Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union.

Advocate for health-related laws, policies and practices that ensure just and equitable treatment for sex workers and sexual minorities.

Empowerment
Build the capacity and leadership skills of sex worker and sexual minority activists and groups.

Information Sharing and Networking
Establish mechanisms to increase information sharing and foster relationships between civil society, activists, governments, donors and the general public.

Resource Leveraging
Increase funding and other resources from donors, governments and allied organizations to advance the health and rights of socially marginalized populations.
