Biography: After attending The Piarist School (for high school), I knew ALC would be the perfect choice to further my education. I already knew that I wanted to pursue a biology degree in order to become a dentist. Currently, I have been accepted to both UK and U of Louisville School of Dentistry this July :)

What was the most important thing you learned while attending Alice Lloyd College?

While at Alice Lloyd College, I learned to believe in myself and my leadership skills.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

I would advise them to consider the benefits of the work study program rather than just seeing it as a hassle.

Why did you choose to attend Alice Lloyd College?

I chose to attend ALC for its biology department, the benefits of the Caney Cottage Scholars Program, and for financial reasons. My mother and grandmother, as well as my uncle, attended ALC, so family ties also impacted my decision.

How did Alice Lloyd College prepare you for life after graduation?

Alice Lloyd helped me to strengthen my interpersonal communication skills. I feel that developing these skills will be extremely helpful for my future dental business.

What was the highlight of your Alice Lloyd experience?

The highlight of ALC was the work study program. I learned to embrace a strong work ethic, communication skills, and efficiency. I also embraced business etiquette during office hours. Working enabled me to gain life-long friends as co-workers.
