EA’S FIFA SOCCER 08 MUSIC SOUNDTRACK
SETS THE STAGE FOR INTERNATIONAL SOCCER GLORY

Redwood City, Calif., September 11, 2007 – International soccer and music fans are about to score like never before! Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) will kick off the new international soccer season with the incredible FIFA Soccer 08 soundtrack – one of its largest soundtracks ever with 50 artists representing 27 countries. Set to launch in 16 languages and 37 nations, EA SPORTS™ FIFA Soccer 08 creates a soccer experience that matches the complexity, finesse and excitement of the real-world game.

Every year, FIFA Soccer boasts an extraordinary mix of music gathered from around the globe, hand picked to represent each country and its passion for the game. This year, the soundtrack will mark the debuts of new artists like Babamars (France), Bodyrox (UK), Junkie XL (Holland), Santogold (USA), and The Hoosiers (UK), each of whom will be discovered by soccer fans worldwide as their songs become the soundtrack for the 2008 soccer season.

The FIFA Soccer 08 soundtrack is highlighted by songs from CSS (Brazil), Datarock (Norway), Dover (Spain), Ivy Queen (Puerto Rico), Junkie XL (Holland), Maximo Park (UK), Mexican Institute of Sound (Mexico), Peter Bjorn And John (Sweden), Planet Funk (Italy), Simian Mobile Disco (UK), Superbus (France), The Cat Empire (Australia), and Wir Sind Helden (Germany).

Steve Schnur
Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing
Electronic ArtsAs Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing for Electronic Arts, Steve Schnur is responsible for the pursuit, creation and continuous development of the global vision for music in EA games. In only five years, Schnur’s unprecedented innovations in bringing together the worlds of music and gaming led The Washington Post to call him “The Clive Davis of the videogame industry.” He has brought established stars, breakthrough new artists and award-winning composers to such top-selling EA franchises as MADDEN NFL, FIFA, NEED FOR SPEED,  HARRY POTTER, MEDAL OF HONOR, THE SIMS and more, changing the industry’s perception of video games from simple ‘licensing opportunities’ to their now-essential role in artists’ careers. His EA TRAX initiative resulted in the first RIAA certified Platinum video game soundtrack with NBA LIVE 2003, and established the collaborative partnership with legendary hip-hop lifestyle company Def Jam to produce the landmark DEF JAM VENDETTA. In 2004, Schnur spearheaded the creation of Next Level Music, EA’s groundbreaking joint venture with Cherry Lane Publishing.  In 2005, he created EA Recordings, a digital record label focused on the distribution of EA’s enormous collection of scores and songs.
 
Schnur began his career at MTV, where he was part of the original programming team during the network’s formative years. He is a frequent guest speaker on the gaming and music industry and international youth culture.  Steve Schnur is also a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS) and currently serves as Chairman of the Grammy Foundation.
