The Burnaby Computing Science Office is located on the main floor of the Applied Sciences Building (ASB), to the west of the main staircase in the middle of the ASB atrium. The ASB itself is situated at the western edge of the campus, due south of the Bus Loop. Please refer to our Burnaby Campus Map when you get close to campus. Visitor Parking at SFU Burnaby

Parking onsite is free for staff and faculty who are coming to SFU Burnaby on official university business.

One day parking passes are available at the CS reception desk in Burnaby or at the CS reception desk in Surrey.

From the Vancouver International Airport

• Take the main road out of the airport following signs to Vancouver/New Westminster and proceed over the Arther Laing Bridge. Follow the signs to Marine Drive (East).
• Continue on Marine Drive until you reach Boundary Road.
  
• Turn left and head North on Boundary Road.
• Turn right onto Hastings St.
• Follow Hastings St. East watching for signs directing traffic to SFU.
• Stay in the right lane as Hastings St. forks. Hastings St. becomes Burnaby Mountain Parkway as it heads up Burnaby Mountain to the University.
• Turn left where Burnaby Mountain Parkway meets Gaglardi Way. This is the entrance to the University.
• The first building you will see is the 24 hour Information and Security Office. You can park temporarily in front. Go in and ask directions to the Applied Sciences Building (ASB).

From the Tsawassen Ferry Terminal

• Ferry disembarks onto Hwy 17.
• Follow Hwy 17 to the exit for Hwy 99. Take Hwy 99 south/eastbound to Surrey and Seattle.
• Follow Hwy 99 East until it intercepts Hwy 91.
• Exit onto Hwy 91 northbound to New Westminster.
• Follow Hwy 91 north over the Alex Fraser Bridge.
• Once over the Bridge follow Hwy 91A to New Westminster.
• Keep in the right lane of Hwy 91A as it continues over the Queensborough Bridge.
• Stay in the right lane and exit onto Stewardson Way.
• Follow Stewardson Way through New Westminster switching to the left lane to continue as it becomes Columbia St.
• Columbia St. becomes North Rd as you enter Burnaby.
• Follow E. Columbia St./North Rd. to Lougheed Highway.
• Turn left onto Lougheed Highway.
• Turn right onto Gaglardi Way. Signs will indicate you are on the correct route for Simon Fraser University.
• Follow Gaglardi Way all the way up Burnaby Mountain to SFU.
• The first building you will come to is the Information and Security Office. Go in and ask directions to the Applied Sciences Building (ASB).

From the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal

• Ferries unload onto Highway #1 East. Keep on going, over the Second Narrows Bridge and through the tunnel.
• Continue on #1 East until you reach the Cariboo Road Exit. Take the Cariboo Road exit and go north on Cariboo Road.
• Cariboo Road becomes Gaglardi Way.
• Go straight up Gaglardi Way to the University. The first building you will come to is the Information and Security Office. Go in and ask directions to the Applied Sciences Building (ASB).

From the Canada / US Border (Douglas or Peace Arch Crossing)

• Take Highway 99 North.
• From Highway 99, take the Exit to Highway 91 North (towards New Westminster).
• Take Highway 91 North, which leads to the Alex Fraser Bridge.
• Continue on Highway 91 over the Queensborough Bridge (towards New Westminster).
• Stay in the right lane to take the Stewardson Way Exit.
• Stewardson Way becomes Columbia Street. Stay in the left lane to continue following Columbia St.
• Columbia Street becomes North Road.
• From North Road, turn left onto Lougheed Highway.
• From Lougheed Hwy, turn right onto Gaglardi Way.
• Follow Gaglardi Way all the way up Burnaby Mountain to SFU.
• The first building you will come to is the Information and Security Office. Go in and ask directions to the Applied Sciences Building (ASB).

From the Canada / US Border (Aldergrove Crossing)

• From I-5 take exit 256 N in Bellingham (Guide Meridian), follow Meridian north all the way to the Canadian border (about 20 min).
• Follow 264th Street to Highway #1 West.
• From Highway #1, take the Cariboo Road Exit in Burnaby. Follow Cariboo Road north. (signs indicate route to SFU).
• Cariboo Road becomes Gaglardi Way.
• Follow Gaglardi Way all the way up to SFU.
• The first building you will come to is the Information and Security Office. Go in and ask directions to the Applied Sciences Building (ASB).

The direct bus routes to SFU - Burnaby are:

• #135 SFU (135 BURRARD STN for return trip) from downtown Vancouver.
• #143 SFU (143 COQUITLAM STN for return trip) from Coquitlam Centre Station.
• #144 SFU (144 METROTOWN STN for return trip) from Burnaby Metrotown Station.

Skytrain passengers get to the Burnaby campus on the Millennium Line. Get off at the Production Way/University Station, then transfer to the #145 SFU (145 PRODUCTION WAY/UNIVERSITY for return trip).

Note: For the closest bus stop to the ASB, disembark at the bus loop (2nd stop once you're on campus). Just walk south down the path beside the waterfall and you're there!

From the Vancouver International Airport

• Bus stops for BC transit buses are located outside ground level (level 1) of the Domestic Terminal.
• Take Bus #424 AIRPORT STN.
• Get off at Airport Station Exchange. Transfer to bus #98 BURRARD STN.
• Arrive downtown Vancouver and disembark at W. Cordova and Seymour Streets.
• Walk 1 block south to Hastings Street and west towards Granville Street.
• On the south side of Hastings Street near Granville, take bus #135 SFU.

From the Tsawassen Ferry Terminal

• BC Transit buses stop outside the foot passenger arrivals terminal.
• Take Bus #620 AIRPORT STN and exit at the Ladner Exchange (be sure to hang on to your ticket for the following part of the journey).
• From the Ladner Exchange, take bus #640 SCOTT RD STN to Scott Road station.
• From Scott Road station, take the Expo line SkyTrain in the direction of Waterfront to Columbia Station.
• At Columbia Station transfer to the Millennium line SkyTrain heading in the direction of VCC-Clark on the other side of the platform.
• Disembark the skytrain at Production Way/University Station.
• Transfer to bus #145 SFU which will take you directly to campus.

From the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal

• BC Transit buses stop outside the foot passenger arrivals terminal.
• Take bus #250 or #257 VANCOUVER to the intersection of Georgia and Denman streets in downtown Vancouver.
• From Georgia and Denman, take bus #135 SFU which will take you directly to campus.

From the SFU Surrey Campus

• From the Surrey Central SkyTrain station, board the Expo line in the direction of Waterfront station and disembark at Columbia SkyTrain station.
• Get on the Millenium line SkyTrain heading in the direction of VCC-Clark on the other side of the platform and exit at the Production Way/University station.
• At the Production Way/University Exchange, board bus #145 SFU which will take you directly to campus.

From the SFU Vancouver Campus

• Catch bus #135 SFU on Hastings Street and ride it all the way to the Burnaby mountain campus.

Or alternatively, you can take the SkyTrain:

• Walk down one block from SFU Vancouver’s Harbour Center campus towards the CP Rail Station on Cordova street which houses the Waterfront terminus SkyTrain station.
• Take the Expo SkyTrain line in the direction of King George station and disembark at the Broadway station.
• Make you way to the adjoining Commercial Skytrain station and board the Millenium line heading in the direction of Waterfront station.
• Get off at the Production Way/University station and board bus #145 which will take you directly to SFU.

The School of Computing Science offices are located on Galleria 4 of the new SFU Surrey campus, which is part of the Surrey Central Mall - the reception area is located in room 4100. If arriving by transit, enter the mall off of 102nd Avenue. There are signs to direct you to the Mezzanine level of the campus. From there, take the escalator up to Galleria 3, then the stairs to Galleria 4 - we are located on the east side of the campus. When you get closer to the Surrey campus, please refer to our maps of the Surrey Campus and surrounding area.

Visitor Parking at SFU Surrey

Please note that there is no longer any free parking at SFU Surrey. University and mall tenants are not entitled to the 3-hour free parking. Visitors and guests coming to SFU Surrey for lectures and special events should be directed to park on level P5 of the parkade as this is designated for visitor parking. University and mall tenants parking costs $2 per hour from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with an evening flat rate of $3.00 after 6:00 p.m. The meter is inside the stair/elevator vestibule on level P5. The meter accepts coins or credit cards. Voucher tickets are dispensed to be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle.

Diamond Parking patrols and enforces all parking areas at Central City. Vehicles with no parking pass will be ticketed. Note, the sign on P5 indicates that parking violation charges are $65.00.

If you have colleagues from Burnaby or Vancouver or other institutions coming for a meeting at SFU Surrey, please contact the Burnaby or Surrey CS Reception desk for a Day Pass for parking. The Day Pass must be placed on the dash of the vehicle to be visible by the parking attendants. With a pass, parking is allowed on the rooftop outside the mezzanine level or on P3 or P4 of the parkade. P1, P2 and P5 are not available for decal or day pass parkers.

From Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

• Leaving the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, drive northeast on Westham Island Road.
• Turn left at River Road W.
• Bear right at 48th Avenue/Ladner Trunk Road (#10 Hwy).
• Travel on 58th Avenue and turn left at 128th Street.
• Turn right at 64th Avenue then turn left at King George Hwy.
• Turn left at 102nd Avenue.

From Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal

• Leaving Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal, continue on Hwy 1 (Upper Levels Hwy).
• Cross the Second Narrows (Ironworkers Memorial) Bridge and continue on Hwy 1.
• Cross the Port Mann Bridge and stay to the right to take the 152 Street exit (exit 48).
• Continue on 152nd Street and turn right at 104th Avenue.
• Turn left at King George Hwy.
• Turn right at 102nd Avenue.

From Pacific Border Crossing

• Leaving the border, drive north on 176th Street.
• Turn left on 8th Avenue.
• Keep to the right and merge onto Hwy 99.
• Take the King George Hwy exit and merge right onto Hwy 99A (King George Hwy).
• Follow King George Hwy and turn left at 102nd Avenue.

From Peace Arch Border Crossing

• Leaving the border, drive north on Hwy 99.
• Take the King George Hwy exit and merge right onto Hwy 99A (King George Hwy).
• Follow King George Hwy and turn left at 102nd Avenue.

From the SFU Burnaby Campus

• From campus parking, head towards the intersection of Burnaby Mountain Pkwy and Gaglardi Way.
• Drive down Garlardi Way, cross Lougheed Hwy and then turn left on Cariboo Rd.
• Turn right on 10 Avenue, then turn left onto McBride Blvd.
• Stay on McBride Blvd and cross Patullo Bridge.
• McBride Blvd turns into King George Hwy once Patullo Bridge is crossed.
• Stay on King George Hwy and turn right on 102 Avenue.
• Turn left on 134A Avenue, then take the first left and go up the ramp to the upper level parking (levels P3 – P5/ the rooftop).

From the SFU Vancouver Campus

• Drive East on Hastings Street.
• Remain on Hastings through East Vancouver and turn right onto the Highway 1 eastbound ramp.
• Continue on Highway 1 and cross over the Port Mann Bridge.
• Take exit number 48 shortly after the Bridge (108 Avenue/152 Street exit).
• Keep right on the off ramp and merge onto 152 Street southbound.
• Drive past the 108 Avenue and continue up to the 104 Avenue intersection.
• Turn right on 104 Avenue and continue westbound to King George Highway.
• Stay on King George Hwy and turn right on 102 Avenue.
• Turn left on 134A Avenue, then take the first left and go up the ramp to the upper level parking (levels P3 – P5/ the rooftop).

The Surrey campus is most easily accessible by SkyTrain on the Expo line heading in the direction of the King George terminus station.

Get off at the Surrey Central City station. SFU Surrey is located in Surrey Central Mall directly across 102 Avenue. Enter Central City via the mall's north entrance, and follow the SFU Surrey signs up the stairs to the open mezzanine area. There are security/information desks located atop the stairs to the mezzanine and also at the base of the Central City office tower where you can ask for directions.

From the Vancouver International Airport

• Disembark at the Surrey Central station.

From the SFU Vancouver Campus

• Walk north one block from SFU Vancouver’s Harbour Center campus towards the CP Rail Station on Cordova Street which houses the Waterfront terminus SkyTrain station.
• Take the Expo SkyTrain line in the direction of King George station and disembark at the Surrey Central station.

The Vancouver campus currently offers computing science courses but does not have a Computing Science office. Please refer to Student Services or to the Security desk for information on classroom locations. Visitor Parking at SFU Vancouver

Public parking is available at many locations near SFU Vancouver’s Harbour Centre campus. Street parking is free after 8 pm. The closest parking lot is at 400 West Cordova Street. See the Parking Map for more details. Parking is free for staff and faculty who are coming to SFU Vancouver on official university business. Contact the SFU Burnaby CS Front Office for reimbursement of your parking fees.

Driving from Vancouver International Airport

• Take the main road out of the airport following signs to Vancouver/New Westminster and proceed over the Arther Laing Bridge to Granville Street.
• Proceed North on Granville Street into downtown Vancouver.
• On the Granville Street Bridge, take the Seymour Street exit.
• Continue North on Seymour Street until you reach Hastings Street.

From the Tsawassen Ferry Terminal

• Follow Hwy 99 until it turns into Oak Street and turn left on Park Drive.
• Turn right onto Granville Street and follow Granville into downtown.
• On the Granville Street Bridge, take the Seymour Street exit.
• Continue North on Seymour Street until you reach Hastings Street.
• SFU’s Vancouver campus is located on Hastings between Seymour and Richards Streets.

From the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal

• Ferries unload onto Highway #1 East.
• Take Exit 13 (Taylor Way) and turn right onto Taylor Way.
• Follow Taylor way and turn left once you reach Marine Drive at the bottom of the hill.
• Go on the ramp towards Lions Gate Bridge towards Vancouver.
• The road over the Bridge becomes Georgia Street once you enter downtown Vancouver.
• Follow Georgia Street and turn left at the fork to go on Pender Street.
• Turn left unto Burrard Street and then right onto Hastings Street.
• SFU’s Vancouver campus is located on Hastings between Seymour and Richards Streets.

From the SFU Surrey Campus

• Follow King George Hwy in the direction of New Westminster/Burnaby and cross Patullo Bridge.
• King George Hwy turns into McBride Blvd once Patullo Bridge is crossed.
• From McBride Blvd, turn right on 10 Avenue.
• Turn left on Cariboo Road, go down the hill and take the North bound entrance unto Highway 1 in the direction of Vancouver.
• Take exit #26 (Hastings Street) and turn left onto Hastings in the direction of downtown Vancouver.
• Follow Hastings Street until Seymour Street and turn right.
• SFU’s Vancouver campus is located on Hastings between Seymour and Richards Streets.

From the SFU Burnaby Campus

• From campus parking, head towards the intersection of Burnaby Mountain Pkwy and Gaglardi Way.
