ACM Programming Contest 2008

Welcome to the Association for Computing Machinery student chapter of Simon Fraser University. Our primary goals are simple: first, assemble three outstanding teams to send to the next regional competition in the Pacific Northwest (fall semester); second, win; and third, move on to win the finals. Our secondary goals are more modest: to improve upon both problem solving and programming skills of every member of the chapter.

You can't lose! Even if you are not selected for a team this year your involvement can only enrich you, improving upon your scholastic skills as well as your future marketability.

If you are interested in joining, then please contact the faculty advisor, Brad Bart, at bbart@cs.sfu.ca. You will be placed on the acm-practice@sfu.ca email list and invited to participate in our regular meetings. At our meetings, you will be given guidance, encouragement, and training for improving your performance and be gauged in regular mock competitions.

The 2008 ACM Pacific Northwest programming competition will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008, at University of British Columbia. Before the ACM Pacific Northwest programming competition takes place, teams must be selected from SFU students to participate.
