BIT of a Turner round in the neighbourhood - Anthea's moving into Chris Evans's old gaff.

She and hubby Grant Bovey have snapped up the pile for £5million - securing £1million off the asking price.

The couple have already flogged their lavish Surrey mansion for £10.6million, making an £8.4million profit.

So they'll still trouser £3.4million after downsizing to Radio 2 DJ Chris's four-bedroom home. But they'll have to do without a few luxuries such as a polo field and heli pad.

Last night a source said: "For them it's a come-down, but for most people it's still the stuff of dreams."

Anthea, 48, and Grant, 47, were forced to sell up after the collapse of his £100million property empire and their company Imagine Furnishings. Yet 75 unsecured creditors of the firm are still owed nearly £400,000.

Their new place is part of the 172-acre Hascombe Court estate in Godalming. It has four en suite bathrooms, a home cinema, stables and a three-bedroom guests' cottage.

Chris moved out last year after wedding third wife Natasha Shishmanian, with whom he has a four-month-old son Noah.

Just Don't Forget Your Toothbrush, Chris.

She payed 5 million for that house? The cheek of it!
A few weeks ago she was crying and moaning about how she was going broke. She should live on our council estate she wouldn't last 5 minutes.
Horrible woman..............

Whomever 'clueless' is, ( so appropriate ) should realise that Mr & Mrs Bovey got out of paying their debts to working people by trading via Limited Liability Companies.

It is doubtful they would pay a penny to anyone if they could get away with it.

Try asking Simon Cowell who on Friday fumed at Ascot when the Bovey's gatecrashed his party and drank his booze. ( Not that anyone else cares )

Thay want freebies and sympathy.

We all know people like the la-di-da Turners, so perhaps if we stop brown-nosing / social-climbing and let these selfish fools know what we think of them and their ilk, this country would be a better place. Likely ? No.

strange bunch, Anthea and her husband don't bother the locals, they live their lives like everyone else. No bragging involved. After all here they are one couple amongst many who live in lavish houses with more money than sense.

As they're now in the money, will the creditors be getting a pay off or will they wheedle out of it yet again??????

Duh, Jane aka Punctuation Police don't you mean apostrophe!

By Vee. Posted June 21 2009 at 10:24 AM.

Jane - it's apostrophe not 'opostrophe.'

By Spelling Police. Posted June 21 2009 at 10:31 AM.

Turners = more than one Turner

Turner's = Turner has

By Punctuation Police. Posted June 21 2009 at 10:33 AM.

IO million quid for bricks and mortar? the house is clearly far too big for just two people, and bragging all day long to vistors must get a tad weary, take the money and hoof it!

By ALAN SIMPSON. Posted June 21 2009 at 10:08 AM.

mm you are WRONG. It's Turner's. Maybe you should learn about apostrophe use in the possessive case.

Or just shut up. Either works.

By mm is wrong. Posted June 21 2009 at 10:07 AM.

'Turner's forked out £5m to buy home from DJ'

= Turner has forked out
therefore it is an opostrophe for contraction and omission.

@ mm

"Turners not Turner's. Good God."

I think you are wrong. Good God!

My god why are people so jealous of these two? Their old home and their new home are located in an area with very rich people with bigger and better houses than they could dream of owning.
So their business efforts went down the pan, those matters will be dealt with by employment lawyers and other legal eagles. If they were obliged to pay money to people then they would be forced to do so by law. Besides how does anyone know if they have or haven't paid outstanding wages?

By clueless. Posted June 21 2009 at 9:36 AM.

Does this mean that they are going to pay the money to the people who did work for them?

I saw her Sister and Brother in Law lost their home a few years ago and she never even helped them. Horrible annoying woman, silly voice and muppet husband.

Anthea Turns my Stomach.
will she use any of the money she's made to pay the people she owe's NO.

Turners not Turner's. Good God.

By mm. Posted June 21 2009 at 1:08 AM.

Give it six months, and she will be back on the news crying ( croc tears ) that she and Grant are victims of jealousy, or spite, or having too much money etc., etc.

You name it, she'll claim it.

Perhaps if they have the decency to pay that £400,000 debt they owe to working people, she might even get someone say hello the next time she starts whining, but I am not confident.
