Stuart Taylor has agreed to join Manchester City when he becomes a free agent at the end of the month.

Taylor's role at Villa Park was mainly confined to that of understudy as he saw his first team appearances stifled by the likes of Thomas Sorensen, Scott Carson and Brad Friedel during a four year spell at the club.

In fact, former Arsenal stopper Taylor dropped further down the pecking order last season after Brad Guzan's arrival from Chivas.

Taylor, who joined Villa in June 2005, made 14 full appearances for the club, with a further three as substitute.

We wish him all the best in the future.
