Sens @ School - Sens School

Sens School is an initiative that provides schools in the Ottawa-Gatineau region with valuable educational assistance. Designed to help make learning fun, the program promotes literacy and the importance of staying in school.

With the help of teachers, parents and administrators, the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club believes that we can educate our youth to be better students and citizens, inside and outside of the classroom, by teaching them to appreciate and respect others, and by motivating them to have dreams and achieve goals.

Have your school join Sens School today!

Each registered Sens School will receive the following:

  • Ottawa Senators public service announcements CD
  • A CD with Lyndon Slewidge’s rendition of the Canadian national anthem for the morning announcements
  • An Ottawa Senators flag to fly on the flagpole or hang in a prominent location in the school.

Participating schools will commit to the following:

  • Use the Ottawa Senators public service announcements on a weekly basis.
  • Encourage the implementation of the Scotiabank Read to Succeed and Spelling with Spezza programs at the classroom level.
