Faiella/Scali teamed up in 2001 after competing sucessfully at the junior level with their previous partners. Faiella/Scali moved to Detroit (USA) to train with Camerlengo and Krylova in 2006. Anjelika Krylova is the 1998 and 1999 World Ice Dance Champion (with Oleg Ovsiannikov). Camerlengo was a National Ice Dance Champion of Italy and competed at the World level. Faiella cut her right ring finger in a practice accident at the Grand Prix Final in December 2008. The injury required stitches, but she competed.
