The Nevada Senate voted 14-7 in favor of an over ride to Governor Jim Gibbons' veto of the state's Domestic Partnership bill. It now has to go to the assembly for a vote, where it will require to-thirds majority to pass. The vote should take place today.
The New Hampshire Senate and House committee have agreed on a compromise in the wording of the Same-Sex marriage bill and the Governor has agreed. The revised bill will now come up for a vote most likely on Wednesday. The changes make the language for religious protection a little stronger than the original bill. Such as one section that said "charitable and educational" and now says "charitable or educational."
A little while back Singer Rob Thomas went to fight for the Gay Communities rights and now he is at it again. This time he wrote an article for the Huffington Post. Here is an exert:
"I am a straight man, with a big gay chip on my shoulder.
A while back on my Twitter page (yes, I know how ridiculous it sounds), I mentioned that, if I believed in the devil, Pat Robertson might be him.
Being a fairly liberal-leaning guy with either liberal friends or Republican and Christian friends who don't believe that being one has anything to do with the other, I was surprised at how many people took offense to what I had to say.
These people weren't friends of Mr. Robertson but friends, apparently, of God. They had "spoken" with him and he had assured them that he was no friend of the gays. He also told them that he loved America more than any other country and was a huge fan of Dancing With the Stars."
I highly recommend you read the entire article here.

Now here is the Lincoln commercial that started it all:
I would so buy that car just because of this commercial.
The California Supreme Court today said on it's website that it will be releasing it's decision on the validity of Prop. 8 this Tuesday, 10 AM California Time, May 26 2009. I will post the result as soon as it's made known.
Unconfirmed reports have been surfacing on the web that sometime today (Wednesday) we will be told if the California Supreme Court has decided to over turn Prop 8. or not. The decisions even if the reports are true won't be given until tomorrow, but we will know it is coming. I will post any new information I get. The court has until June 3rd to decide at the latest.
It's good to finally see Elisabeth getting what she gives.
“Now all of a sudden, I've got someone who wasn’t a spouse before that I had no responsibility for, who’s now getting claimed as a spouse, that I now have responsibility for. So how do I pay for that? Who pays for that? You just cost me money!”
The facts are in, Nation wide same-sex marriage would bring in over 16 BILLION dollars a year. The point is, same-sex marriage is good for the economy and as Mr. Olbermann puts it, it is a stimulus package in it's own right.
“Our church is at war. We are under attack from an old enemy. The Illuminati. They have struck us from within and threatening us all with destruction from their new god Science.”
The above quote pretty much sums ups Ron Howard’s new film Angels and Demons. The film stars Tom Hanks at Professor Robert Langdon, the symbologist we meet in “The Da Vinci Code.” A lab called CERN has produced a new technology called Anti-matter. The invention could unite Science and Religion plus it could be an unbelievable power source. The only bad thing is that if anti-matter touches any matter, even air, it explodes. To solve this problem a physicist Vitorria Vetra creates a container that suspends it. However someone breaks in and steals a container. The container is only safe as long as the battery last. Mean while someone has also kidnapped 4 cardinals. They are threatening to blow up the anti-matter which has been placed in the Vatican. The film is based on Dan Brown’s book of the same name, but that is where my biggest complaint with this film lies.
I know that no movie exactly mirrors the book it was based on, but I found unlike The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons greatly varied from the book. I think this may have been a bad decision on the part of Ron Howard. The movie also had a different feel than the book. In the book, Robert Langdon and the Physicist Vitorria Vetra became very close and while at the end of the film they portrayed their relationship at the same level it seemed unbelievable because they hadn’t spent the time together or showed the rest of the emotions to build an intimate relationship.
Also the plot line was greatly changed. People, I will not ruin the plot line by saying who, that died in the book, lived to have different impacts on the plot line in the film. The book was also much darker, while the film seemed more censored.
In the film several alternative plot lines from the book were completely removed, including the entire part about Doctor Kohler and CERN. There was also no mention that I noticed where they told that the doctor who was killed in the beginning was Vitorria’s father. They also cut out the segment where the killer talked to the unknown organizer of the Illuminati plot. By cutting out segments of the film involving the killer, they made him appear as if he was only working for money, while in the book he came off as a devote servant, doing the killings just to please his masters.
So before I spoil too much of the film, I will rap it up. All in all the film varied from the book a lot. I would still recommend seeing it if your going to the movies anyway. I will say though that if you like Science Fiction films, I would suggest seeing Star Trek instead. I enjoyed it so much more. I think the movie just seemed fake, at least in light of reading the book. I worry that people who haven’t read the book however may not get into it as much. So to tell the truth, I was a little disappointed. If I was rating with stars, I would rate the film a 3 out of 5 stars. I don’t doubt it will do well this weekend in theatres, but it could have been so much better.
Here is the revised New Hampshire Same Sex Marriage Bill, that Governor Lynch would be willing to sign into law. He is urging the legislature to pass it.
Breaking News is coming in that the New Hampshire Governor will sign the same-sex marriage bill into law. The governor however wants to change a few things about the bill before he passes it. The changes Governor Lynch wants to make have not been released yet, but I will post them as soon as they are.
Shanna Moakler talked to Ryan Seacrest about the Miss California scandal and her continued lying. She says Donald is a good man, but thinking with a business mind. She says she cannot promote someone who keeps lying. Shanna became choked up when talking about how Carrie is screwing over the pageant. She specifically mentioned the comment Prejean said about the wind blowing open her top when she wasn't looking.
Here is the interview.
Yesterday, Sarah Palin the Alaskan Governor, released a statement defending Miss California, Carrie Prejean. Palin brought up the free speech argument in defence of Prejean, but appeared to miss the point of others right to free speech. One also might find it a large hypocrisy that while Palin and Prejean are demanding they are able to enact their right of free speech, they are with the other hand trying to take away our rights.
“Carrie and I spoke soon after the attacks started; I can relate as a liberal target myself."
“What I find so remarkable is that these politically-motivated attacks fail to show that what Carrie and I believe is also what President Obama and Secretary Clinton believe - marriage is between a man and a woman,” said Palin.“I applaud Donald Trump for standing with Carrie during this time. And I respect Carrie for standing strong and staying true to herself, and for not letting those who disagree with her deny her protection under the nation's First Amendment Rights.”
Well, I thought something was fishy when Trump endorsed Carrie Prejean, and it wasn't just Carrie. The day before Donald's backing up of Prejean, the executive directors of Miss California USA, tore at Miss California for her actions after the pageant, also reaffirming that her answer in favour of "opposite" marriage was not the reason she lost the pageant. But yesterday during Donald's press conference both of the executive directors seemed subdued, like they had been given a good work over by "The Donald."
"Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization.

How many times have you typed and actual question into Google, such as "what is the average temperature in a certain location?" I know I have at least a few times. Usually it results in a page where you have to search for the information you want. Well a new search engine secretly created by a mathematician in Britain could soon take Google down a few pegs if not have a major impact on the popular search engine. A new search engine called "Wolfram Aplha" would give you specific answers.
The search engine was created by Stephen Wolfram and a team of 250 people. Last week when a small test of the new search engine was released, teck geeks went crazy. The search engine is basically a giant data bank of information. The site will be free and make money from advertising, much like Google, except that a higher version will be available for purchase.
So mostly the difference between other sites and this new one, is that when you use other sites, you have to search through information for the actual number you need rather than just being given what you need. Either way Google will soon have some competition.

Also may I mention I still find Lt. Choi very attractive. Something about a military man.
By the way, may I mention I find Lt. Choi very attractive.
Mr. Rogers is the editor of blogactive.com. During a debate over the film, one of the Anchor's of the television show, Doug McKelway threatened to punch the blogger in the face.
At one point Mr. McKelway mentioned the families of these "outed" men including how some of them still had live parents. It was then that Mr. Rogers asked the anchor if he thought being gay was wrong or bad. I have included the video of the debate and the response from readers on the next days show.

Here is what he actually said:
“At a state level, it’s up to them. I don’t want it to be a federal thing. I personally still think it’s wrong. People don’t understand the dictionary — it’s called queer. Queer means strange and unusual. It’s not like a slur, like you would call a white person a honky or something like that. You know, God is pretty explicit in what we’re supposed to do — what man and woman are for. Now, at the same time, we’re supposed to love everybody and accept people, and preach against the sins. I’ve had some friends that are actually homosexual. And, I mean, they know where I stand, and they know that I wouldn’t have them anywhere near my children. But at the same time, they’re people, and they’re going to do their thing.”
Here is a little radio/tv show talking about it with actual Joe quotes:

"I have followed closely the debate on this issue. I have listened to both sides, as they have presented their arguments during the public hearing and on the floor of the Maine Senate and the House of Representatives. I have read many of the notes and letters sent to my office, and I have weighed my decision carefully," Governor Baldacci said. "I did not come to this decision lightly or in haste."
"I appreciate the tone brought to this debate by both sides of the issue," Governor Baldacci said. "This is an emotional issue that touches deeply many of our most important ideals and traditions. There are good, earnest and honest people on both sides of the question."
"In the past, I opposed gay marriage while supporting the idea of civil unions," Governor Baldacci said. "I have come to believe that this is a question of fairness and of equal protection under the law, and that a civil union is not equal to civil marriage."
"Article I in the Maine Constitution states that 'no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law, nor be denied the equal protection of the laws, nor be denied the enjoyment of that person's civil rights or be discriminated against.'"
"This new law does not force any religion to recognize a marriage that falls outside of its beliefs. It does not require the church to perform any ceremony with which it disagrees. Instead, it reaffirms the separation of Church and State," Governor Baldacci said.
"It guarantees that Maine citizens will be treated equally under Maine's civil marriage laws, and that is the responsibility of government."
"Even as I sign this important legislation into law, I recognize that this may not be the final word," Governor Baldacci said. "Just as the Maine Constitution demands that all people are treated equally under the law, it also guarantees that the ultimate political power in the State belongs to the people."
"While the good and just people of Maine may determine this issue, my responsibility is to uphold the Constitution and do, as best as possible, what is right. I believe that signing this legislation is the right thing to do,"
The question now is if it will go to the people for a vote. Maine is split almost equally over same-sex marriage.
Same-sex marriage is also being considered in New Hampshire today. I suggest everyone contact both New Hampshire and Maine, to ask New Hampshire to approve this legislation and to thank the Maine Governor.

Elizabeth commented back saying to Joy it was "her" way. Whoppi then said "it's science."

A video has been released of a man being tortured by a Sheikh of the United Arab Emirates, a United States Ally. The man was accused of stealing about five thousand dollars worth of grain. He was beaten, forced to eat sand, beaten with a board and nail, then had salt poured on his wounds. The entire time the camera was rolling. Here is some of the video, but be cautious of its content.
As promised here are some pictures from the Family barbecue we had today. It was so much fun. We went down by the waterfall/damn. We cooked burgers and hot dogs, played with bubbles and silly putty. Then we drove to a another small town near by. It was a great time. Happy Birthday Dad and Stephanie.
I have found this song online written for bigot heartless Virginia Fox. She said Matthew Shepard's death was a hoax. Shame on you Virginia. The song is available for download and all proceeds go to the Matthew Sheppard foundation. I highly recommend if you can, to donate money to the foundation in the name of Miss Foxx.

Oh, and isn't anyone feeling bad for the girl who won the pageant, I don't even know her name, but she is being so over shadowed. Talk about a slap in the face, people are talking like she didn't deserve to win.
He joins Heidi Montag and Miley Cyrus who also announced they supported gay marriage on Twitter.
He then continued to debate several people on gay marriage. One women said the US was founded on christian values, not true. It was founded on separation of church and state.
A recent CNN poll further backed up this point. The poll had this result:
“The more often Americans go to church; the more likely they are to support the torture of suspected terrorists, according to a new survey.... White evangelical Protestants were the religious group most likely to say torture is often or sometimes justified—more than six in 10 supported it. People unaffiliated with any religious organization were least likely to back it. Only four in 10 of them did”.
It can be said that religion if anything sometimes holds back the natural evolution of what morality is. Religion hijacks the natural thought process and shuts off the questioning part of the brain.
