We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50. Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back. A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. Once at the hospital, the staff tried to get him to breathe but they had no luck. We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911. LaToya ran in the hospital sobbing, after Jackson was pronounced dead. Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II. Story developing...
Since the death-watch for Farrah Fawcett began a few weeks ago, I was surprised that Ed McMahon died yesterday instead. Waking up this morning, I was not surprised at all that Farrah had died, but of course I had to wonder who Celebrity Death #3 would be. Holy crap, I had no idea it would be Michael Jackson! I have very mixed feelings about this - I don't think death is a reason to forgive someone who is obviously a pedophile. But MJ's contribution to music and the advancement of colored people in the industry and in general has been immeasurable. I think he should be missed, despite the taint of his personal life.
