About the Committee
The Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana was established with the passing of Senate Bill 1085 during the 2005 legislative session and became effective January 1, 2006. The Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana consists of 11 members who have been appointed by the DHS Director.  Members of the board represent registered patients, designated primary caregivers, persons responsible for a grow site, and advocates of the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act (OMMA).
 
 
If you are interested in applying for a position on the Advisory Committee on Medical Marijuana, please complete this application form (.pdf) and return it to the OMMP no later than April 3, 2009. The Director and staff will review all applications and have a decision by the end of January. Please note: this application form can not be completed or submitted online.  Please mail the form to the OMMP at PO Box 14450 Portland, OR 97293.
 
 

Mission
The mission of the Committee is to advise the Director, Department of Human Services (DHS) on the administrative aspects of the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP), review current and proposed administrative rules of the program and provide annual input on the fee structure of the program.
