Daisies and Clover Doily

Rounds 1 and 2 are derived from the pattern "Ecru Doily" on page 107 of Catherine Austin's book A New Twist on Tatting, though I have revised the directions a bit. Round 3 is the round I designed for Round Robin 31 (center by Debbie Collarin). Round 4 is also by me! When I finished my round on the round robin doily, I thought "this would look like a flowery meadow done in yellow and green" and this doily is the result. After finishing the doily I kept looking at the scalloped edges of it and thinking about how they looked like eggs, so I created an egg pattern.

This pattern uses two shuttles for round three, a shuttle and ball for all other rounds. I used Manuela color 209 and DMC cordonnet color 955, both size 20. In this thread the doily measures just over 5 inches across.
