I was completely blown away by the work of Etsy seller, Lightwave Laser, this morning. Especially this amazingly intricate laser-cut wood screen with a tree motif.

It reminds me of something you’d find in a Frank Llyod Wright home.

It’s a little out of my price range at $4500, but I’d say well worth the price considering the level of detail.

If you’re looking for something a little more affordable, the store also features several laser-cut lamps for just $132 each.

Juliska makes some of the most beautiful decorative tableware around. And now they have expanded their delicate craftsmanship to lamps.

I’ve been looking for an arched floor lamp for this unusual corner in my living room. Because the room is long and narrow with a fire place centered on the wall and a TV next to that, I’ve had to place the sofa on an angle in the corner.

I need some task lighting for the space, and I thought a good option would be an arched lamp that could sit behind the sofa and add some interest to that corner.

I want something with a bright accent color and found this less-dramatically arched option at CB2. But I’m still considering this stainless steel option from EQ3.  It’s only $199.

CB2 has these beautiful blown-glass candleholders on the cover of their Christmas catalog. But they’d be equally (if not more) wonderful as a Halloween centerpiece or even in the front window. Just don’t catch your curtains on fire.

It’s a little like an octopus or something you’d see in the laboratory of a 1920’s super villain, but there is definitely something wonderful about the Edison Chandelier.

Each of the bulbs has a visible filament and the ‘arms’ can be positioned any way you’d like, so there are endless iterations.

Most impressively, it’s from Pottery Barn and it’s pretty affordable.

I thumbed through the Pottery Barn catalog yesterday and was excited to find this sleek new lamp.

It’s inspired by industrial fixtures used on movie sets in Hollywood’s golden age. It features a pivoting head and the height is adjustable.

I love the way the nickel finish reflects the room.

I love Anthropologie. I love that every store stocks different items. And I love their housewares.

Today, I found this amazing lamp that looks like an old-world dirigible. In fact, it’s called the Old World Lamp.

It doesn’t give off much light (25 watt max), but I’d thoroughly enjoy the idea of a family of friendly cartoon mice flying my lamp to Paris.
