Threatened: The fire currently is no longer threatening structures in the area.  
Evacuations: Evacuations have been lifted in all areas.  
Injuries: 41  
Cause: Fire investigators have confirmed the initial fire was started by a bird into a powerline, but another fire in the area remains under investigation. 
Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE, Yuba County Sheriff, Nevada County Sheriff, CHP, Yuba County OES, Yuba County Water, USFS – Tahoe & Plumas National Forests, CalEMA Fire Rescue, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, California Conservation Corp., PG&E, Red Cross, and BLM.

Costs to date: $10.7 million  
Conditions: The threat to critical power lines from the Colgate Hydroelectric Plant and associated PG&E infrastructure has been mitigated. Firefighters are patrolling for smoke and extinguishing smoldering fires. Access to the fire remains difficult due to steep terrain and heavy fuels. Demobilization of resources and personnel is underway.

Residents must remain vigilant for changes in fire conditions. Recreational areas have been re-opened to the public.

CAL FIRE Team #10 transitioned the incident back under the units command on August 21.
