The story is of a nameless survivor who begins to chronicle the events he must endure to continue. His struggle begins as he realizes he must compete with once domesticated pets turned feral, natural predators and extraterrestrial creatures for food. He learns the Earth has been claimed by alien pirates anxious to strip our world of resources and technology and he must choose to battle or coexist with these beings if he is to live. As the adventure unfolds he is joined by other survivors who begin to gather and reform a small community of humanity on a world that no longer belongs to mankind.
Postamble is written in a pseudo-diary style as an ordinary man is thrust into extraordinary circumstances. Alone for much of the story he writes his tale as best he can into a word processor. His writing is an eclectic mix of
recollection and revival as he remembers and mourns his past while chronicling what he is currently experiencing. This makes for an interesting and unique story that will appeal to a large audience of mature readers, both young and old. There is something for everyone - action, adventure and suspense.
