When you reserve a place you will receive a letter telling you the latest date for returning your registration agreement.
If you are going to have difficulty in returning your registration agreement by the given date, for example if you need to wait for your employer to complete a sponsorship agreement, please contact us so that we can advise you of your options.
Some courses have limited places and if you do not return your registration agreement in time the reservation may lapse and you will not be able to register.
Remember you can register for most courses online and by phone instead of returning a registration agreement. It's quick and easy and we'll send you confirmation of your registration within 48 hours.

If you want to apply for financial support, you should reserve a place and apply at least four weeks before the final registration date shown.
If you are registering late there may not be enough time to assess your application for financial support and let you know the outcome before your course starts, so you will be asked to pay your course fees before you can register.
For students living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland only, you will be credited retrospectively if your application for financial support is successful.

If you are registering on or just before the registration close date, it is recommended that you register by telephone or online using a credit or debit card, to secure a place on the course. You may then be able to apply for Financial Support after your course has started, although some conditions will apply. This option is not available for students living in Scotland.

The registration closing date for each course is shown in the course description on the Courses and Qualifications website.
If you want to apply for a financial award to help to pay for course fees, you should reserve a place and apply at least four weeks before the final registration date shown.
If you want to apply for credit transfer you should reserve a place and apply at least eight weeks before the final registration date shown.

Registration opens well in advance of course start dates and you can register as soon as registration opens. To find out when registration opens for the course you are interested in, check the course description on our Courses and Qualifications website. You cannot register before registration opens.

Before a course starts we need to allocate you to a tutor, send your course materials and tell you about events such as tutorials. You might be asked to complete preparatory work before your course starts (for more information, look at the course descriptions on the Courses and Qualifications website). This means that we need to close registration before the course actually starts to allow enough time for these things to happen.
